IT STILL GOT ME π€£ anyway, while this show was literally nothing like how I would've ever imagined it, I truly had sooooo much fun with this first episode and really getting to know Louis as a character. I am loving getting all of the details of this relationship from the beginning and cannot wait to see where we go from here!! π©Ά

yes!! while I haven't actually read these books, I would be interested to to see how it compares! I don't think I've seen Jacob in anything other than this show but ohmygod, he truly is such a brilliant actor and I cannot wait to see him in more roles! I totally agree, I always feel like I can feel exactly what his character is feeling just on his facial/body expressions. a true talent! π©Ά

2023-11-15 21:24:12 +0000 UTCI was a big fan of the books when I was a teenager and this series was really phenomenal. All the changes made really elevate the original story. I initially felt like the thing of having it be the second interview was a bit of a gimmick, not bad but not useful maybe, but I think it became clear over this first episode that it makes Daniel a much more interesting character. Also, a properly extraordinary performance from Jacob Anderson (Louis) in this episode and the rest of the season! It is like he is physically filled with whatever emotion his character is feeling. That confession scene is so intense and filled with such palpable despair.
