Technically in Z, except for the training in saiyan arc and piccolo later to fuse, no one ever makes it to the lookout. The characters start going to the lookout only after kami is no more.

Like for example, a giant hole that Goku put in King Piccolo, he might say would be fatal. We've never actually seen piccolo sustain more damage than Goku has in terms of a hole in the body. So realistically we have no way of knowing his limits. But we haven't seen him survive a large wound either. Sure, a few chest holes, but even Goku survived the small chest holes that Piccolo got.

2024-03-26 03:59:00 +0000 UTCYou should try and watch db without the knowledge of knowing stuff that happens in Z.. because simply put..it hasn't been written yet or maybe even thought of..Im pretty sure after doin some googling lol...toriyama never had the future in his mind and was more of go with the flow attitude. So I say just enjoy the show without trying to apply the reasoning from your knowledge of Z. I could bring up so much stuff..such as the King Piccolo thing....where he only needs his head...we can simply saying that nameks and their powers haven't been written yet. Or we can apply some reasoning...Piccolo mentions this during the buu saga...where hes a like iunno a few thousand times stronger at that point...so ya maybe the namkes need to be at a certain power level in order to do that..because if you apply that rule to the frieza saga...then most of those nameks should of survived most attacks lol.
