It took a third time, but Rems message was reinforced in Vash thanks for Meryls full on belief and acceptance of Rems ideal at the critical time. Rems idea of humans having infinite capacity for goodness if given the right circumstances reinstalled in vash the belief that sins could be forgiven as long as one properly tries to atone.
