I remember seeing this when it first aired while I was in college *checks calendar and winces* 20 years ago. Fun show, but yes this is outdated canon filling the gap between Ep.s 2&3. In some ways it answers little things that the later clone wars series doesn't, like why does Grievous have his signature cough for example. The scenes in Vol. 1 also probably felt disjointed at times due to the original airing of Vol. 1 being weekly 2-3 minute episodes. You mentioned at one point this feeling like something off Cartoon Network's Adult Swim; while it wasn't on [AS] specifically you were right about it being on CN. This was one of Genndy Tartakovsky's projects and his style is all over classic cartoons from that era that you may recognize if you look him up. Great reaction, as always, thanks!

2024-11-21 17:43:47 +0000 UTCSo back then, the cannon was that lightsabers couldn’t work underwater since they are essentially a sword of plasma(or something like that). Kit Fisto was supposedly the first Jedi to modify his lightsaber to work. Eventually they just made all lightsabers to work in water.
