Yeah, I get they needed to show how high the stakes are, but losing Kash that way Hurt.

2024-11-26 22:02:40 +0000 UTCOh no! So they killed Cash just to rip our hearts out. Thought he died in campaign, otherwise why kill off such a fun character. Sad times. But thank you for telling us that story about Liam's mother and how it tied into everything.

During the original campaign, Liam's mother died soon after the Chroma Conclave arc began (the sunken tomb episode was the first ep after her funeral and the stuff with Vex's death really threw Liam for a loop) & Thordak became a symbol of the cancer that killed her, so Vax getting the kill for both his mother & Liam's was one of the most beautiful moments in the campaign. I'd been waiting anxiously for this moment for 2 years (it was the one moment they HAD to get right AFAIC) and was so very pleased with how they adapted it. Kash didn't die in the actual campaign, so that moment was a huge surprise. I think it worked well for what they needed story-wise, but ouch.
