SSJ isn't an "endgame transformation" its basically useless past the cell games. Also there are a myriad of reasonable explanations for Goten and Trunks reaching it at a younger age. Such as Vegeta and Goku already having SSJ unlocked when they got busy with their wives. It's not like Goten and Trunks are really all that useful in the Buu saga anyways. Unlike Caulifla and Kale who are the main players of universe 6 and last more than half way through the tournament. This makes their impact more significant on their debut saga than Goten or Trunks were. That's the problem, with how much impact Caulifla and Kale have on the Tournament they should have spent more times fleshing them out and justifying their power (mainly Caulifla) instead of Gohan being in a movie or the god awful Arale episode.

Caulifla and Kale are overpowered in some scenes, specifically earlier in the tournament when Kale raged. But in this fight, they’re scaled pretty well. It makes sense that Goku in SSJ2 was able to easily fend both of them off. Kale being a Broly-like being also makes some of her feats less random

Her lines are sometimes so unintentionally funny that the VA and producer said they laugh behind the scenes. Also, seeing Goku play the mentor role is a real treat

2024-11-28 23:13:59 +0000 UTCI was never a fan of SSJ3, always seemed like an overhyped energy draining transformation. I just hope the U6 saiyans aim for a power that’s higher than SSJ3 or learn a more unique transformation outside of the normal SSJ forms.
