We appreciate how you put the button on this 😜 however we like to think it is definitive she is alive 😊

Honestly didn't think I would love Cait and Mel as much as I did. They never stood out to me in the first season. So its impressive for them to have such a crazy good arc and payoff in this season. Which they could do because they already set us up so well to love everything with Vi and Jinx. 🤩

Bethany and Ken

You're probably not the only one. Maybe give it some time and get back to it when the hype has died down and you can watch it at your own pace. There have been shows people raved about and it took us a couple of different times to watch it before we got hooked (The Office and Breaking Bad come to mind).

Bethany and Ken

No need to apologize for the length. This show sparks discussion and there is just so much to dive into. Love thinking that Jinx is still alive. Not sure if we will ever get confirmation on that or not, but there is enough evidence that we now like to think so 🥲

Bethany and Ken

We saw Singed and his daughter but couldn't really tell if she was alive or not. Because if Viktor had helped revive her we thought that she would've maybe died with the Hive mind. 🤔

NGL, I was genuinely doubtful that they could bring such an awesome story to a satisfying end in 1 season, but boy did they. Yeah you are right about Victor being the one who gave him the stone and saved him and his mom. I think not being a LOL player made this way more enjoyable. Knowing who is a character and who isn't and what their powers are spoils a lot of plot points and surprises. I recommend avoiding any LoL lore about any characters other than the ones already shown in Arcane to avoid spoiling the future stories. Nothing in League outweighs what these writers cook up anyway. As for the Jinx living theory, It is 100% not just cope. real merit to it as they are very consistent about colors in this show. Blue is hextech, pink is shimmer. The pink lightning is only ever shown when Jinx moves super fast. The pink lightning in the smoke had to of been drawn for a purpose. Next, Caitlyn focusing on the vents in the tunnel Jinx fell in while holding a piece of Jinxes bomb she used to "Kill herself" probably cost thousands on its own. Definitely done for a reason. Finally, the airship flying away at the end looked just like the one from episode 1 when Powder said "one day, I'm going to ride in one of those." Which I've always felt was a loaded line and was waiting for it to come up somehow. Separate they are fun to speculate but together it feels like the show was really trying hard to imply Jinx survived by blinking to the air vents then fled on that ship. Cause the only way Vi would stop going after her and be happy is if she thought she was dead. It is very likely she survived but its definitely not definitive. 😁

Yep that's the one! I honestly missed it until I watched a Necrit video because my eyesight is just awful lol. I love that shot of Ekko! It hits me right in the feels, especially when I look at fanart of that scene mirrored with AU Powder sitting there in her universe totally fine. This show did a really good job of evoking emotions through their animation.

I just checked again and can see the pink streak you refer to (i think) -- it's heading off in the 1 o'clock direction as the explosion starts. ;) The ember "fireflies" was honestly great -- and even more bittersweet when there's that shot of Ekko like he shared with Powder in S2E7 overlooking the city, but she's not there and he lights up his own slip of paper as he remembers....

One of the best series finales I've ever seen, honestly. The arcs had truthful endings -- and mixing triumph with tears throughout. Sevika survives and joins the Council; Singed heals his daughter. Jayce and Viktor are reconciled (the goal of their arc) and destroy the wild rune together, after Ekko manages to divert/disrupt time long enough. [Which has the irony of Heimerdinger stating way back at the beginning not to mess with magic because it will destroy the kingdom lol -- the little goof was right all along.] I am so blown away by the Medarda arc. After Ambessa dismisses her daughter so many times for not being ruthless enough in this series, Mel seals her death by purposefully handing her over to the Black Rose -- and then uses THAT moment (as the trickster kills her mother) to destroy the mage to get vengeance for her brother. Which brings both women back to Piltover, when a dying Ambessa smiles wearily at her daughter and gives her the highest praise she could bestow ("You ARE the wolf") before sagging, finally trusting Mel to rule their people. Just WOW. [I mean, Ambessa was a piece of work -- but she was relentlessly consistent and I value that.] The fight with Ambessa, Mel, and Cait was so bad-ass too. And Cait has no fear: For not having any special powers, she sacrifices her eye strategically to leave Ambessa open to Mel's magic. (And a great early moment when that little **** traitor gets what she deserves!) Ekko's another MVP -- just saving Jinx to start with (I love how he keeps stopping her, even though he has NO idea what to say to her), and then coming in when all was lost at the end to buy another chance. Back to Jinx and Vi. Vi has ALWAYS had to save everyone; not knowing how to let go is her best and worst trait. She can't stop trying to save Jinx OR Vander (aka Warwick), so Jinx does what she can't -- taking Vi's place and thus freeing her. Their final few moments together here are a callback to the first episode where Powder almost falls off the roof before Vi catches her hand and saves her... but this time Jinx forces Vi to let go by depowering her glove, "breaking the cycle" and falling with Warwick down the shaft. With Jinx and Vander gone, Vi is free to build a life with Cait. Yeah, it all looks like a loop with Jayce and Viktor. Not only was the statue giving Jayce the hammer in the future was ... frozen Jayce... but Viktor goes back to give Jayce the rune. As far as I understand it. Sooooo.... is Jinx dead? I see others have commented in more detail on this here too. As I saw it (after thinking Jinx was dead), Cait reviews the air ducts, through which Jinx (who is tech savvy) MIGHT have escaped, although she knows Vi well enough to never share THAT thought with her -- and there's that lone airship leaving Piltover followed by a quick burst of "Jinx" energy right before the credits roll. Also, back to the last thing Jinx says: "Always with you, sis" -- which is the first part of a line in S2E3 when she finishes it with, "Even when we're worlds apart." We'll never know, but... Jinx was breaking the cycle and freeing Vi. Which is a growth point for her too, as she fell apart so spectacularly (fracturing her mental health) when Vi dumped her at the end of S1E3, and now she performs an act of love by separating from her sister willingly. (Which then leads us to ask if there actually IS a good version Jinx after all... and maybe there is.)

I struggled to watch this season. I must be the only one though it just felt like boring writing to me. It always sucks when everyone loves a show that you’ve lost interest in

From my understanding the future victor won and unified the world but later regretted it's lack of humanity. So in order to fix it (at least in some timelines) he uses his powers to go back in time to give jayce a rune that would hopefully, eventually, end up inspiring the right set of events that would allow his past self to witness the scene in which he tells Jayce that his plan sucks.

Jacoob

I was a Jayce defender from the beginning.

Yeah this is it for Arcane. But I would be shocked if Riot Games didn't do another series like this in the League of Legends universe. After all there are over 160 Champions in the game and a ton of lore and world building with them. We seen only like 10 of them and a small part of the world in this show.

It is theorized that Jinx is alive for a few reasons. 1. If you slow down the moment leading up to the explosion frame by frame you can see a pink streak leaving near the air vents (which Cait was looking at the schematics of in the archives) and Jinx usually leaves a pink trail due to her shimmer abilities. 2. The airship flying away at the end is the same type of ship that Powder said she wanted to ride one day in the first episode of the series. 3. The words "The End" flash across the screen in Jinx's scrawl. 4. Jinx kept talking about being "worlds apart", possibly hinting at the fact that she always intended to leave town. These are all theories of course, nothing is really confirmed, but there is a lot of evidence to support it. Also it's Jinx lol, she's too cool to kill. Hopefully..... O.O I don't blame Vi for wanting to grieve over Vander, if he had been like the rest of the drones then he wouldn't have gotten back up so Vi really had no reason to think it wasn't okay for her to grieve her adoptive father all over again. Emotion clouds reason, as Viktor said. "The deceiver" that Mel faced is LeBlanc from the game, that shadow form wasn't really her so she definitely isn't dead which is good because I would love to see LeBlanc in a future show. Ambessa's references to "being the wolf" is about Kindred and how Noxus views the Lamb and the Wolf in their region's lore. Ken you are spot on, Viktor is the mage that gave young Jayce the rune because after "evolving" the world he realized that "there is no prize to perfection, only an end to pursuit". He realized that he messed up and in every timeline he tried to fix it, only Jayce was capable of showing Viktor the error of his ways. I think the part of the episode that tugs at my heart the most is when the people of both Piltover and Zaun come together to write down the names of the people they lost in a mass memorial and burned them sent the embers into the air like fireflies. The creators have said that they are looking into three different regions in the world of Runeterra to explore (Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia) but it hasn't been confirmed yet if those will be in show form or movie form or what else. They are definitely not done with bringing the world to life. I think Maddie (Caitlin's ex) was always a traitor. Ambessa warned Cait about personal entanglements and Ambessa told Vi that Vi leaving Cait gave her a hole that she was able to fill, most likely with Maddie AND Ambessa's mentorship. The friend of Vi's who died was named Loris. Sorry this was so long lol.

One of the co-creators did confirm that they are definitely making new shows and a new one has been in development since the start of this year

Oh man what a journey. Now, a few things to note that you may have missed: 1. The 3-eyed raven pecking away at what was possibly a hextech gemstone at the end was one of Swains spies. Back in your champion drafting videos, Ken picked a dark fellow with a red hand and large raven-like wings who talked about "The monsters of today will be the heroes of tomorrow", so idk if that rings any bells. Anyway, he's from Noxus (same place Ambessa is from) and seems to be teasing that the next show will primarily focus on that region and possibly Mel too since we see her sailing away. 2. A cool detail you might've missed: Theres a shot of a porcelain type figure sitting in front of a mirror at the end and you can see Singed (The mad scientist) in the reflection. This indicates he somehow revived his daughter, probably with Viktors help. She is another champion in the game btw, called Orianna. Also, Singed is the only character with a happy ending ironically. 3. A lot of hints point towards Jinx still being alive, namely the purple streak of shimmer that appears just before the explosion, Caitlyn looking at the air ducts of the Hexgates while holding the monkey head and the fact the show literally ends with the same shot of an airship flying away like the start of the series when Powder sees one and says "I'm gonna fly in one of those one day". So yeah, hopefully not actually dead but is leaving to give her sister some peace.
