The Legend of Korra S3:E7 Full Reaction

If it's one thing I learned since I subbed to y'alls channel, is that poachers and animal hoarders are sworn enemies around here πŸ˜‚When Tenzin was telling Kai to chill out on the guy, I saw that look on Bethany's face like "I would've kept going 😑" and I lost it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Really great insight and context here for Bumi and Tenzin, and good things for us to keep in mind. We particularly like the mention of Tenzin's need to employ trial and error and why that is so difficult for him.

Bethany and Ken

Yeah, getting angry at the earth queen just reading this so not sure why we didn't have a stronger reaction during the episode, perhaps it hadn't fully sunk in yet? I mean, there's no question the earth queen is monstrously horrible.

Bethany and Ken

Tenzin has been an airbender his whole life, and so have his kids, so he is totally inexperienced with teaching grown adults to be airbenders. Even Korra was a bit more malleable because she's a teen, and if it weren't for her personality being the opposite of a spiritual element then she probably would have picked it up a lot faster just like Aang struggled the most with earthbending. And no one has had to train a large group of people to be airbenders since the days of the monks that raised Aang, there is literally no one for Tenzin to go to to be shown the ropes for this. He has advice from others around him and the history of the culture but that is different than putting into practice on this scale. Trial and error is the name of the game and he HATES that because he has always put it on himself to be perfect. He HAS lightened up a bit since Book 2 when he made peace with the fact that he isn't Aang, but that was only a few months ago so he's definitely still coming to grips with new ways of thinking. I love how Bumi admitted to his insecurities about how he never felt like he was part of the air nation. Bumi is the oldest and it more than likely stung to not be able to connect with either one of his parents bending heritages to the extent that his siblings did. He was the non-bending son of the Avatar/last airbender and the best waterbender in the world which couldn't have been easy. I like that he opened up to Tenzin so that Tenzin can now help Bumi feel more included. I'm sure Tenzin always wanted a sibling that could airbend like him so it could share it with someone in the way his kids share it with each other. Such a good episode!

Genuinely surprised learning the earth queen ate Bosco the bear didn’t get a much stronger reaction from you guys (especially Bethany). Even worse when you remember that he was the *only* bear we’ve seen and everyone commented how odd that is. She not only ate her dad’s best friend, she effectively forced a one of a kind species to extinction.

Hell Yeah Gaming

Of course the stereotypical nerd is named "Otaku." "Thanks for the insight." Why you two giving each other those looks? Certainly, only good things will come from this. "Not your psychotic little kid." Meelo is a menace and we love him. "I even heard she ate her dad's pet bear." Bosco, NO!
