2025-05-03 06:49:20 +0000 UTCThe entire show feels like filler. Half of it is just them trying to fix or find a plane. I didn’t notice it on my first watch, but the writing in Daima is honestly atrocious. At least the final couple of episodes are decent, even if they still have their issues.

2025-05-02 19:57:22 +0000 UTC24:26 Nah that only applies to the Third Demon World. The air in the second world (which our crew is in) is not as thick. It's just one of those moments where shots are happening simultaneously and the script that Toriyama wrote most likely didn't specify how high the plane was above the magic barrier/how much time passed, so things get a bit awkward with the timing.

2025-05-02 19:24:03 +0000 UTCI’m sure everyone will agree when I say that the Gendarmerie Force here doesn’t hold a candle to the Ginyu Force (or even the Pride Troopers imo). A fun little nickname for them that I saw going around when this episode premiered was “the Ginyu Farce”, which I like quite a bit. They’re not distinct enough between their designs or personalities to be anywhere near as memorable. That being said, their little adventure to the palace convenient store is a scene that I would want out of a Ginyu Force spinoff/one shot chapter. The Ginyu Force theme song and certain lines from the dub of DBZ have indicated that the weren’t just coworkers in the Frieza Force, but also a group of pals that would do regular shit together like bowling, getting afternoon snacks, and watching soap operas.
