from 'A Day at Hotel DeVille'...

If memory serves, this image was made with a Canon 1Ds, the flagship of the Canon digital line at the time. This lovely woman, a dear friend of ours, graciously joined us in making photographs on a visit to Montreal. This old hotel offered remarkable light, incredible curtains, and majestic, oversized windows. A few years after this photograph was made, when digital printing technology improved, we made a lovely print from this image that still hangs in our studio today. Most of the good work this day was done on film, but this image is quite lovely and worth sharing.
