2024-12-24 02:53:55 +0000 UTCYou know what surprised me the most about this episode? Two single lines that perfectly captures imo the stance of Togashi on humanity in general. The second last line Netero said to Meruem was :“You underestimate the potential of human evolution“ but Togashi wrote a kanji in japanese that let’s the word „evolution“ also translate to malice. It was no complicated Nen attack no last resort of Netero to bring up a single attack just a simple bomb that humans have thousands of and can be easily produced. If it weren’t for the hunter association the politicians prob would have bombed NGL to the ground and simply sacrifice 5 million people cause that’s what humanity does at it absolute worst. I feel like what Meruem also realized there at the end is that the single humans don’t see themselves as important as the ants see themselves. Or their identity differentiates so much that he with his ant nature can never try to fight against this kind of nature. I always wondered what was the point of the narrator saying these last sentences at the end. And after reading through 100s of opinions and videos essays I came to this conlusion. Cinema isn’t even the right word to describe this episode. The politicians never saw the ants as a problem just a nuisance that happened to get a little to big
