Do you support me by using Patreon on your iOS?
Added 2024-09-30 20:17:53 +0000 UTCI need to know how many of you uses iOS to pay me instead of PC or Android, it's important because of how apple loves to fuck my life even if I'm not part of their ecosystem! :D
I would really appreciate your feedback, and if you use iphone, how hard is it for you to support by using a PC, for example? The subscription billing Apple wants to force on Patreon don't work for me, not until we start hitting 200 subscribers active or more, getting my money sprinkled through the month instead of all at once at the start of it would fuck my bills way too hard.

Yeah. I made sure for now to select to stay with the current billing system but Patreon tells me "stay with the current billing until I'm ready" which makes me believe they will force the subscribe payout billing on everyone eventually. Ita a good system for big creators but it's awful when you're under the hundreds.

2024-09-30 23:34:43 +0000 UTCFrom how I understand it as long as the subscription is made via logging in to the website rather than through the patron app on an apple device its unaffected. Which I'm pretty sure most Apple users are doing anyways to avoid the Apple tax with patreon stuff because Apple now is going to attach a 30% fee on top of the subscription simply because they suck. Apple users are still able to access the content through the app but as long as you dont subscribe through the app apple doesnt take a cut. Was big news all over from other creators too warning how if you subscribe through the apple version of the app the support will cost you 30% more just for the "Privilege of doing it with an Apple device" I'm surprised people still put up with apples shit. I jumped to android back in the days of Iphone 4s when I saw apple being a pain in the ass.
