he's posting gnomes again

we are at that stage that comes around every few months where i've Finished something and i start scrabbling around for new things to fill the gap. i am in that vortex Especially intensely right now because i have been waiting for my graphic novel editor to give me notes on the thumbnails i turned in like two months ago so i can start pencilling it, and am now waiting for my novellas editor to give me notes on objects of affection so i can make revisions + illustrate it,, and just finished a draft of the romance novel i've been pecking at for the last two years and will be giving to my agent tomorrow.

i ought to run for president next. just to give myself something to do. keep me busy.

anyway gnomes. started rotating them and their weird mole rat biology in my head again lately, but nothing really new to report. here we have a gnome queen, several times larger than non-breeding gnomes, and normal scent marking activity to strengthen familial bonds. gnomes are all about smells since they don't have good eyesight but their sense of smell is Extremely strong. being part of the in-group means smelling like the group. very important.
