It was funny the instant tweets and discord messages of "SHE GROWLED!!!" Momo Taro was a pleasant surprise though. Love this concert as a followup to PIA's huge set. MM is still a huge crowd, but it feels more intimate as the crowd and band feel so close to them. Great mixing too.

Pa Pa Ya!! - Yeah, the towels come out exclusively for that song, lol. Elevator Girl - 2019, 3rd album. To me, a modernized “throw-back” to old-school Babymetal’s kawaii/metal dichotomy. Very underrated song! Believing - Good ear! Definitely a nod to T.a.T.U’s song. And to me, PSA to all the fans about how Babymetal is changing, so get with the program, and stop hanging on to the past 😂. Brand New Day - Features guitarists Tim Henson and Scottie LePage of Polyphia. They performed this live together at Fox Fest 2024, which is available on Babymetal’s channel if you wanna check it out. Starlight - Many fans believe it to be an unofficial tribute to the passing of Kami East guitarist Mikio Fujioka. He was an avid stargazer. The song embodies “anguish” and is song 1 of the Trilogy of Lights. 2nd song, Shine, represents acceptance, ending with Arkadia to represent moving forward. Karate - Best version: Download UK 2016. Festival, no stage production, in the UK rain, raw Babymetal at their finest, absolutely kills it too with crowd engagement. Gimme Choco - If you want the “most unique” version: Look up “Skrillex Babymetal Gimme Chocolate”. Su is the queen. Momo is the beaming sun, and Yui was the “angel of dance”. But Moa is the “angel of love” for a reason 😉, lol. To answer your question about song creation: Kami Band does not have input. Although, Leda Cygnus, Kami East, did contribute to writing some guitar and bass sections. Babymetal has a solid team of writers and composers, and Su has a bit of say-so in how she wants deliver the lyrics, and the emotion she wants to convey. She also wrote the lyrics to Divine Attack herself. I’m going on a limb to guess that all 3 girls are more involved in the creation process now though, vs earlier works. 🤘🦊
