It seems simple to write a song about a number but with the backround of the meaning of the 4 in Japan it makes more sense to explain your advisements about it. Yui & Moa teaches you how to count in Japanese, and the number 4 "Shi" (secondary pronunciation "Yon") does not mean death "Shi", so stop with the superstition already! There are so many other things that end in "Shi": Vitamin-C (Bitamin-SHI), Delicious (OiSHI), etc. The lyrics are quite smart, which is even more impressive knowing that Yui and Moa wrote them when they were super young, as a challenge from Su!

So they are singing about how the number 4 doesn't have to be bad and they are mentioning other words in japanese that have 'shi' or 'yon' in them but are happy words. such as 'shiawase' (happy) vitamin shi (vitamin c).. yorokobi no yon (pleased) , shinu ja nai shi (meaning 'not the 4 in death). etc etc..
