Unfortunate Change of Plans
Added 2022-07-26 07:16:15 +0000 UTCSo, a small update for you guys. As it turns out, Rowdy got covid and we will not be able to attend Terrificon now. This sucks for both of us big time. Him, obviously cus he's sick. And me because I'm losing a good chunk of money to airline policies and (likely) the convention's cancellation policies.
What this means for you though-- I WILL be able to update TLLT on Wednesday this week like normal. And In a small way I'm glad to do so because I know your comments will cheer me up~
As for the following week-- Wednesday the 3rd-- I MIGHT choose to take it off just so I can build up a buffer with my extra time? Even though I wont be at the convention/traveling, I will still have about 6 days off of work. So I will either use that time to blaze ahead on panels (and not skip a week), or who knows, maybe I'll do something else fun-- run away to the coast for a day... (If I can afford it RIP).
Anyway, just... keeping you all in the loop.

2022-07-26 16:24:07 +0000 UTCThanks, everyone 🥺❤️. So far, it’s not as bad as the reaction to the vaccine, but still not fun. Body aches, low grade fever, stuffed up. Kinda like a mild flu or bad cold. Not recommended. The worst of it is how this affects Mccull as cons are a side hustle for her ☹️.

The flights don't offer any kind of refund besides airline credit. So HOPEFULLY I'll be able to buy future flights with it. As long as the timing is right that should work out... It's still not as useful to me as getting a refund though-- This is, sadly, the world we live in now. Travel agencies are unforgiving.

I'm not sure how easy that would be either. Sorry for the shitty situation for you both. Especially since it happened so close to it too. Wishing a quick and speedy recovery to Rowdy Enjoy the 6 day holiday. You deserve it. Go treat yourself.

That’s super disappointing. I’m going to cross my fingers and hope for the best re: cancellation policies, but I don’t know if the leniency/understanding over Covid being the reason still exists… Hopefully you’ll be able to make some of it up at later cons. 💜
