July 24th, the Mansion Incident...
The nightmare was just beginning...
Hey all :)
I mentioned in my post on Saturday I'd try to have another render out for you all before the end of the month, and here is the result! This is actually one of the fastest renders I've ever put together — I made it in a single session yesterday and then let it render overnight (and thankfully the weather cooperated). Despite the limited time invested, I feel like this came out really well. I had to push myself out of my comfort zone and use a faster workflow that essentially just embraced the edits I made as I went along, instead of preserving each edit and then comparing and contrasting each change. It was a good learning experience, and I'll continue trying to push myself to work faster without sacrificing any quality.
That said, something that also helped bring this render to life so quickly was that I already had the idea in mind, which sometimes the biggest hurdle can be deciding on what idea you want to make. With the release of this render, I'm back to brainstorming, so I'm unsure if there will be any additional renders before the end of the month.
Speaking of renders, Mansion Incident sees the continuation of offering two post-processing variants to choose from. The first version is slightly softer with a few additional filters/effects, and the second version is my more classic sharp style.
As usual, the embedded images in this post are the downscaled versions, and you can grab the native full-rez versions from the MEGA archive :)
