2025-08-23 13:17:48 +0000 UTCOh, I remember both this drama and this parody when they both released. Secret Garden was ALL the rage back in the day when it first came out. It was so popular it was pulling in 38% ratings in Seoul and 31% Nationwide by the final episodes. Insane numbers for a tv show back then. While this parody covered the gist of the story, to slightly clarify...Jiyong's character (played by Ha Ji Won) in the actual show was a stuntwoman. Her and Taeyang's character weren't dancers. That was changed for the parody. Seungri's character (played by Yoon Sang Hyun) was named Oska/Oscar and he was a famous pop singer slowly declining in popularity/interest until he meets a talented but closeted gay songwriter named Tae Sun (played by Lee Jong Suk. You may know him as IU's boyfriend.). Everything else was relatively the same in the real show. After drinking a potion left by a mysterious person, the two leads would body swap whenever they kissed. BIGBANG did a bunch of parodies back in the day. Other groups did them or just short little skits too, actually. Outside of BIGBANG's famous parodies, I'm most familiar with the SHINee and TVXQ parodies/skits. They were soooo good. Bring fun back to kpop forreal!!!
