As you can see Jade us trying to remain practical even at her size, understanding that the two of them would likely not have the means to properly take care of each other if they both were to get past the tipping point. Aubrey, not being one to understand when enough is enough, decides that it is time to resort to more "drastic measures". But that would be a tale for another time.
