[MHCISQD] Chapter 431: Upcoming Mission

Although during their previous training sessions, the Class 2-A students appeared fierce, they were quite amiable in private. It didn't take long for everyone to get along well.

"Oh, they're still training?" Kiana raised her eyebrows.

"Otherwise, how do you think they've improved their strength so quickly?" Kaminari lost another round and set down the controller. "If it weren't for their superior stamina, I also want to train more. I've been working on developing new techniques, but I'm running low on inspiration. Oh, aren't they back? Looks like they sensed dinner."

Three dusty figures entered through the main door, clearly showing signs of exhaustion.

Kirishima smiled and said, "You three, go take a shower quickly. Dinner will be served in a little while, and we don't want the kohai to wait too long!"

"Enough with the lectures!"

After snapping at Kirishima, Bakugo led the way upstairs. Midoriya and Todoroki greeted everyone and then hurried to change into fresh clothes.

Half an hour later, everyone gathered for today's feast.

Holding a glass of juice, Renault stood up.

"Today, we have some special guests, our kohai from the hero department. But for tonight's dinner, please don't be formal. Eat, enjoy, and relax. So, cheers!"

Taking a sip of juice, Kiana eagerly grabbed a piece of grilled meat and stuffed it into her mouth.

"Mmm! Such tender and juicy meat! Oh, this is delicious too!"

Among the girls, only Kiana showed no restraint in her eating and had an enormous appetite.

Mikoto, sitting next to Renault, ate and said, "Watching Kiana eat, do you ever think about something?"

"Don't think I don't know who you're referring to." After taking a bite of his meal, Renault smiled at Mikoto. "I really can't imagine you saying that when she's here."

"Tch, what's there to be afraid of?" Mikoto shrugged, looking nonchalant. "I just wonder when Senpai will be back."

"Ryukyu had a troublesome mission, and she went to Shikoku with Ryukyu. They'll probably be gone for another 3 to 4 days."

The 'she' naturally referred to Hado, who shared Kiana's enthusiasm for food.

Honestly, if Hado were here today, Kiana might have a contender for the title of the 'strongest glutton'.

As they ate, the group also discussed various random topics, eventually touching on their off-campus work studies.

Kirishima, with a displeased expression and a mouthful of food, said, "When will they finally let us out? We've been cooped up in the school, and even though the training is intense, we're not getting to put our skills to use."

His words garnered agreement from the rest.

"In school, I couldn't go all out, and on the first day, all of our opponents were taken care of by Renault." Bakugo said with a disgruntled expression.

"Oy, don't blame me for that, alright?" Renault, setting down his drink, looked at Bakugo in resignation. "I wanted to go out too you know, but can't you see I'm being a good boy now? But don't worry, it won't be too long before we can do what we want."

"Really?"

Renault nodded. "I was planning to tell you all in a couple of days, but since you brought it up, I'll spill the beans now. Within the next two weeks, there's a mission coming up. Some of our classmates can join, but the selection process will be strict."

"What's the mission?"

"Shocker."

Renault didn't hold back and stated directly.

"Principal Nezu and I have found another Shocker secret base. We're about to plan an operation. After assessing your strengths during this time and discussing them, we believe that some of us in Class 2-A may be allowed to resume off-campus work studies. Specific notifications will be out in 2 to 3 days. If you want to go, make sure to train well in these last few days and be in the best shape. If you perform well in this domestic operation, there might be opportunities for international missions as well."

Upon hearing this, Bakugo, Todoroki, Midoriya, and the rest immediately became serious.

Though there might be a hint of self-praise, these individuals were indeed the most likely to be granted permission. But they would also face stiff competition, as the rest of the classmates were not to be underestimated.

Seeing everyone's enthusiasm rise, Renault nodded in satisfaction.

"We still have a few days, so don't rush. For now, let's have our meal. Kiana might snatch everything if we don't."

Looking over, they noticed that while Renault was speaking, Kiana hadn't stopped eating; her mouth was constantly filled with food.

Todoroki quickly moved the last portion of soba noodles in front of him and started eating.

They had thought that with Hado absent during meals, they could eat peacefully, but now they had to contend with a highly competitive eater like Kiana.

In an instant, everyone's eating speed increased.

Fu Hua watched the scene, rubbing her temples in exasperation.

This was truly embarrassing.

But then again, she couldn't help it; she had joined in too.

If she didn't act quickly, she wouldn't get to enjoy the delicious Chinese dishes on the table. The flavors were truly exceptional!

After a satisfying meal, it was time for the previously mentioned dessert.

Bronya, who hadn't eaten much during dinner, was thoroughly content at this moment, holding one dessert in her hand and chewing on another.

Seeing Bronya's enjoyment, Yaoyorozu smiled.

"If you like it, you can come here often for desserts. We have plenty."

Upon hearing Yaoyorozu's words, Bronya's eyes lit up, but her expression remained calm.

"Bronya can tell that you're trying to win her favor, but for the sake of these desserts, she's willing to play along."

Yaoyorozu, upon hearing that, exchanged a knowing glance with Renault.

Indeed, Bronya was a clever one, seeing through their intentions so quickly.
