With a single punch, he sent Kamen Rider 4 flying. Renault casually pulled out his Driver and prepared it.

It had been a while since he had used the Evolto Black Hole Form, but Renault decided to use it when facing Kamen Rider 4. It wasn't that he couldn't win on his own, but since it was a battle against Shocker, he wanted to add a bit of ceremony by using his Rider form.

Kamen Rider 4 received the command and charged toward Renault in silence.

Renault stood his ground, watching the incoming attack. He twisted the Driver's control lever and responded with his own finishing move.

"Ready Go! Black Hole Finish!"

A black-purple energy surged, as the power of the black hole concentrated in his right foot. Renault lifted his leg in response to Kamen Rider 4's Rider Kick.

Two immense energies collided, creating a momentary deadlock.

"Your strengthening is pretty impressive." Renault remarked.

As Kamen Rider 4 continued to hold his ground, Renault chuckled and turned the control lever again, increasing his power output. The energy burst forth, sending Kamen Rider 4 flying.

What's more, the black hole's energy followed suit. A black hole appeared behind Kamen Rider 4, ready to consume him as he was propelled backward.

"Hmm?"

However, just as Kamen Rider 4 was about to meet his end, a mysterious force appeared and whisked him away, preventing him from being consumed entirely by the black hole.

"Space manipulation ability? Is it Shocker or the League of Villains? It's probably Shocker. Looks like they've come up with quite a few things in the meantime."

After deactivating his Rider transformation, Renault lost interest in where Kamen Rider 4 had disappeared. He took to the sky and began searching for any remaining Shocker members in the vicinity.

After a thorough half-hour search, confirming the absence of Shocker members or any hidden bases, Renault left the forest. He found a spot with a strong signal, picked up his phone, and contacted Hado.

"Renault, are you okay?"

"How could I not be?" Renault replied with a smile. "The only regret is that Shocker got away with that robot. I've checked the area thoroughly, and there are no Shocker members left. Have you completed your mission too? Where are you now?"

"We're in Ehime Prefecture, staying at a hotel here. Ryukyu is giving a video report on the mission's outcome. Renault, you should come over soon!"

"Sure, send me the exact address, and I'll be right there."

After receiving the address, Renault took a tram and then a taxi to reach the upscale hotel Hado mentioned.

During the journey, he naturally informed Yaoyorozu of the situation and assured her of his safety.

Entering the hotel, Renault went to the front desk, where Hado had already reserved a room for him. He only had to show his identification.

On the tenth floor, Renault checked his room first and then came to Hado's room next door, knocking on the door.

"Wait a moment!"

Hado's voice came through, and Renault waited for almost half a minute before the door finally opened.

Upon entering, he saw a pale face.

"...Are you applying a facial mask?"

"Yes." Hado nodded, motioning for Renault to come in. "We've been out in the wild for several days, and my skin is all dry. I need to take good care of it."

Hado was only wearing a robe at the moment, with her fair legs and arms exposed.

Sitting on the couch, Renault looked at Hado and asked, "So, what was your mission this time?"

"We received a request from a research institute whose chief researcher went missing. We took on the commission to investigate. During the mission, the institute received a distress signal that we determined came from the missing researcher. Following some subtle clues he provided, we narrowed down the search to Shikoku."

"Did you find the researcher?"

Hado nodded. "Yes, we did. But when we found him, he was already dead, and we fell into an ambush. I believe Shocker intentionally leaked the distress signal sent by the researcher. They used him and then killed him when we arrived to rescue him, hoping to capture us all."

"That's quite a greedy plan..." Renault said with a serious expression. "If I hadn't left the signal marker for you, even if you managed to escape, you'd probably have been seriously injured."

"Hehehe, we have you, Renault." Hado spoke cheerfully as she lay down and rested her head on his lap, looking up at his eyes.

"Now everything's fine. While we couldn't save the researcher, we did discover a Shocker hideout and managed to destroy it while escaping. It's a small victory."

Renault nodded, gently playing with Hado's long hair.

"Your hair is still wet, and the weather isn't completely warm yet. Let me help you dry it."

"Sure!"
