Karma is actually a really nice kid, he got in fights a lot because the people at his preppy elite school are all assholes that bully and look down on people all the time. when the teacher who said he would always be on his side ended up siding with the bully he beat up because his grades were better than the kid he picked on it made karma snap and the teacher "died" in his eyes. the way its portrayed is a little confusing but that teacher is totally fine hes just an asshole and karma doesn't consider him a teacher anymore.
