There is no second season, Adam Smasher comes back in video game. This show takes place a year or two before the events of the video game.

So when I was watching the show I absolutely knew Smasher wasn't gonna die. You two should definitely play the game if you get the chance. And avenge Rebecca :D Another tidbit. Smasher is actually the one who is "special", not David. David simply has high tolerance for cyberware. But Smasher is completely immune to cyberpsychosis, which explains why he can be almost 95% cyborg and not go psycho. This is also mentioned in the game, along with tons of story info. (Yet another reason to play it)
