He would've killed Katara and the rest of the gang if he got his hands on them(im assuming) but either way the ocean spirit killed many in the season 1 finale of Avatar.

2023-02-23 23:25:38 +0000 UTCPersonally, I think Mako is more realistic than any other character. I'm not saying he's better than anyone else or that he's right, just that he's realistic. He grew up raising his younger brother on the streets after his parents were killed, and he learned how to live on both sides of society. He has been in a gang and then became a professional bender. He constantly had to keep a calm, grounded mind-set for the majority of his life because he has only been able to rely on himself. He was a snake for giving up Korra, but Korra hasn't been any better. This season is the most uncomfortable, and I think it's because the writers are actually treating these teenagers as teenagers. They may be capable, they may know what the right thing to do is, but they are also short-sighted, emotional, and they feel like everything revolves around them. Mako isn't the badass, smooth guy we wish he were. He is a normal guy in an abnormal situation, and he honestly believed that Korra was making a mistake... in a way, she was, but Korra's actions are more complicated than Mako's, so let's just leave it at that. Mako may believe in Korra, but he has believed in himself for far longer.
