Yeah youโre right itโs more that RD is passionate. I just love the enthusiasm. Oh I believe one day Iโm going to curse at someone and it wonโt be pretty ๐๐๐. Iโm defensive of CMC. Theyโre like my children to me ๐ญ. Or if someone hurts Fluttershy or makes Pinkie sad. I feel RD and scootalou moments are cheating. Theyโre just filled with so much love and vulnerability. Ahh yes that is right. I missed the disability interpretation. I took it as mainly someone just being a late bloomer. Which the CMC already do suffer from that but I do appreciate the disability and bullying view. You know I love love the small details of continuity and call backs. Makes it all come together ๐

Rainbow Dash's role as a supportive mentor to Scootaloo strengthens their bond and underscores the importance of working together and supporting each other. - Some further notes/thoughts/facts: - The episode title is a play on the term "fight to the finish." The Cutie Mark Crusaders carrying the flag to the Equestria Games is an allusion to the traditional Olympic torch relay. A difference of night and day.... Ms. Harshwinny (most stern and serious looking pony) and Rainbow Dash (the most enthusiastic and cheering pony) - the dynamic between them is interesting to see... The winning team is able to carry the Ponyville team flag in the opening ceremony of the equestria games! Snips and Snails saying "It could be us"... and the way everyone looks at them is seriously funny ๐ Wow Rainbow got talked down to calm down! - Rainbow "Professionalism" Dash... ๐ The naming of Rainbow Dash depends on who you ask... some refer to her as just "Rainbow Dash" or "RD" and some say "Dash" as she is often nicknamed so in the series by her friends, or "Dashie" because of a popular fanfic "My Little Dashie" that even got a great fanmade 30 minute live-action minimovie (i definitely recommend it for you to watch it sometime (maybe even react to it) - tears are guaranteed in this one!) ๐ข Well, i think "just geeking out" isn't the right term here - i would say her personality shows a lot of passion for the things she is interested into... thats it. "what's special about Ponyville?" - different kinds of ponies live together (Earth-Ponies, Unicorns, Pegasi) - Well, i can understand why it didn't occur to you, its not always in focus and it shouldn't be, that would be kinda speciest/racist don't you think? The song "hearts as strong as horses" is a great bop, especially some animations here were really great - i loved that shot walking in the sun and them forming a horse-shadow on the wall. According to Daniel Ingram, Hearts Strong as Horses was inspired by a "modern classic from Disney" and i can see that! "It's just two steps" - Its Symbolism ;) Oh and here we go again, the terrible two come out of their holes... bullying them again as "Blankflanks" just to fall on deaf ears, because Flag-carrying isn't about that. It's great that the CMC's arent falling for that anymore. But sure, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are still the worst here and stooping even lower to target Scootaloos inability to fly... It breaks my heart to see him trying and falling into this harmful spiral of self-bashing and pushing into the wrong direction. The first routine was truly great and it could have been much better if DT and SS didn't got to Scootaloo's inferiority about her wings... Seeing Rainbow Dash reigning in her enthusiasm and cheerful excitement about the Performance due to having to be "Professional" was hilarious... A list with the most annoying and malicious characters is definitely needed :D That you came close to swearing about these two b*es (sorry but not sorry) shows a lot about how you care about the CMC's i respect that ๐ But it's a shame that Sweetie Belle and Applebloom were not able to snap Scootaloo out of this misery, theyre just annoyed by Scootaloos behavior... understandably, because she focuses on the wrong thing, not the unity of different races, but her own being as a pegasus. It's devastating to watch. Rainbow Dash asking them the real questions here: Rainbow Dash: "And then you tried to stop her from doing that, right?" Sweetie Belle: "Well, actually, we kinda told her..." Apple Bloom: "...uh, that we didn't want a quitter." Rainbow Dash: "Hang on. Are you nuts?!" For real... are you two nuts!? Also, it was obvious there was something wrong with the second performance... RD schould have said something sooner... but you know... "Professionalism"... i put Ms. Harshwinny at fault for that ๐ Yeah Sweetie, we all don't like DD and SS... ๐ The whole reconsiliation, Scootaloos fear of never being able to fly and Rainbow Dash's encouraging speech was was amazing! I totally understand you, u cant identify with RD as a character, but with her ability to encourage people (ponies) to get on with their lives and not being stuck at something the whole time, which prevents them to go on further. - It's a nice trait. The reprise of the song here was also amazing and positively highlighted this whole ordeal. Oh you deserve that Ms. Harshwinny! Sadly, there was no real repercussion for DT's and SS's behaviour ๐ --- I completely agree with your conclusion, CMC-Episodes are a hit or miss - but this one tackled the rather difficult topic of disabilities in a great way and i say diasbility because it was a huge question that was going around in the fandom about if Scootaloo is unable to fly in general... but this episode was telling us, that this isn't something you should squander and focus on, but instead focus on the positive things that makes you being you and you are able to do instead. In other terms it symbolizes overcoming personal limitations and finding strength in one's unique abilities. I also love the continuity of everything that mostly occur in the little details of each episode. Things that are told or mentioned often do a later reoccurrence and can get missed out on if not paid attention to. It's indeed one of the most underrated episodes. - Much love for you appreciating it ๐๐

2024-05-30 06:37:24 +0000 UTCI think itโs close to a perfect episode, I agree itโs a very underrated episode, the song hearts strong as horses is pretty popular but the episode doesnโt get talked about as much, so much good in this episode, I definitely teared up at the end with the sweet moment of of rd and scootaloo, she feels that she never fly, and itโs so sad, bullies definitely have a way of making you feel bad and insecure, dash helped scootaloo feel better, I love the song itโs so good I still listen to it sometimes! very inspirational.
