I usually don’t see things in that way as I also think the messages and topics this episode had was about not being compatible, forcing connections, and finding something in common to come together. The entire social aspect of this episode was amazing even if it was painful to witness with his awkward it was. I need rock candies. Pinkie’s idea was awful 😭 Her coming to the rescue was amazing. The love she has for pinkie was amazing. The way pinkie loves her was amazing. The ending with the Candy saying she doesn’t like it but it doesn’t matter because she knows it makes pinky happy was amazing. Swear Maud was incredible and endearing. Amazing messages for sure as mentioned earlier with the socializing and getting close to aspect of life. Fantastic igneous episode 😜

Maud is a pony with a passion for rocks, an unparalleled level of deadpan humor, and a unique personality that is both baffling and delightful. This episode combines humor, heart, and a powerful message about friendship. - Some notes/thoughts/facts: - You introduced yourself here as if you were held captive and had to read the kidnappers-demands from paper 🤣 Pinkie didn't just go a little bit overboard with her rock-candies. Maud Pie's name is a play on mud pie, a popular dessert that originated in the southern U.S state of Mississippi, she is also working on her "rocktorate in rock science", a play on the doctorate degree awarded by universities. Rarities Hat-choice is very questionable :o She isn't just logical, Maud seems to be heavily autistic coded. - You could say, what Pinkie has in abundance, Maud lacks. And yeah you could say her personality is dead-pan dry, very rocklike and the complete opposite of Pinkie Pie, except that she still manages to be funny somehow 😄 Her Pet "Boulder" is awesome! I love him! 😅 Pinkies love for her Sister is so wholesome and sweet 🥰 As blunt as her poems are, i thing its still very poetic. Maud wasn't shown prior except one time in a photo with Pinkies family during "Pinkie Pride". Rock-Nuke indeed. It must be a real bad feeling if you like your sibling very much, but he/she isn't liked by your other friends... this can be frustrating. It's awful to see Pinkie so down because of it. And yeah to fake this won't hold for long. - It's good that this was adressed. The "Pinkie-Rainbow-Rari-Twi-Apple-Flutter-Maud Fun Time" was the dumbest idea ever, but desperate measures come with desperate times. Maud is hell-a-strong as an earth pony, she grew on a rockfarm and had to break rocks her whole life... The wonderbolds are Pegasi and these are about flying - like an air force. Maud would be more suited to be a soldier. (Which is funny, because Maud's spiked helmet resembles the German soldiers "Pickelhaube" during Pinkies rescue). Maud's emotional (not-so-much-)outbreaks are sweet 🥰 Maud Pie: [deadpan] "I don't know if you've noticed, but I don't show my enthusiasm for things quite in the same way my sister does." - True... but thats also something that was needed in the show, a counterpart to the always hyperactive-pony Pinkie. I bet some in the fandom did exchange these rock-candy necklaces. It was an wholesome end with a nice message. Speaking of messages, this episode delivers several. Firstly, it illustrates that there are people you simply can’t connect with - especially within a short time frame. Another one reminds us that sometimes, difficulties in relationships aren't about you personally - they can arise from the bonds with those you love. --- This concludes this episode which showcases a unique character introduction that brings a mix of emotions and critiques from the fandom. Maud Pie's character is a significant addition, coded with autistic traits that resonate with some viewers while leaving others desiring more diverse portrayals, but i do like her very much as a counterpart to Pinkie. The scene where Pinkie Pie's friends fail to act while Maud saves her, highlights a point of contention regarding character utility and plot decisions because in other cases they - especially Rainbow Dash - would have reacted a lot faster then they did here. But overall, it was a good episode that added a memorable character, had some unexpected humor and character development. Thank you very much for reacting to this kind of mystery inside an igneous rock episode😉. 💙
