He was more or less under mind control. End of story. Forgiveness should be a given. Just my 2 cents on that I guess. On a completely unrelated note, you should listen to the end credits song again without talking over it. It may be the best song in the movie. Also, you'll do well to look up the full version of Trixie's song. It's a banger too.

And that theory does make sense. I want this to be a thing so bad! But they are amazing villains with a great historical significance Maid was so surprising and it was lovely! I don’t think the sunset shimmer treatment was unwarranted as last movie, she was a total conniving b word. Plus, this makes her growth and accountability true! Idk how but she’s become one of my favorite characters in the series. Man high school RD feels like S1 RD. Then the evil comes together and hits our ponies. The ending sequence and battle was magnificent from a musical and togetherness aspect. Beautiful. And Sci Twi!!! God I love me a good shocking and cliffhanging post credit scene. This expands this limitless series and has a fantastic call back to the Pinkie. Oh yes! I’m glad the fandom recognizes this as a peak of the series and just a monumental upgrade from the first movie with its story, writing, and connectivity. I also agree once the dust settle about their forms, we can appreciate what it is and it’s vibe. I’m glad you enjoyed! I would also say it’s one of my better experiences of the series since I had absolutely zero expectations of what it be. It’s a blessing to watch this! Yeah my computer was working on overdrive. I’m really sorry for that annoyance. It’s so random 😪. I’ll try to limit that in the future.

2024-07-01 05:12:36 +0000 UTCIn "Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks" The Mane 6 face internal conflicts, including doubts and jealousy, which had to be resolved by Twilight Sparkle and none other than former villain Sunset Shimmer, whose journey of redemption was a pivotal development to stand besides the Mane 6 as a fully trusted friend. This vibrant and exciting movie, filled with magical catchy tunes, heartfelt moments, worldbuilding and one hell of a musical showdown against an interesting group of foes - the Sirens - manages to suprise and surpass the previous first movie by a landslide. - Some notes/thoughts/facts: - The Rainbow at the beginning was from the end of first movie. - I wonder if normal people are even able to see this, considering no one else reacted to it, maybe its kinda invisible to the normal human eye..? The intro Song "Rainbow Rocks" is a total banger! I love these stylized visualizations of the Mane 6 here: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/f/f1/Row_of_Mane_Six_silhouettes_EG2.png So here we have the Sirens who were banished... to the human world and call themselves the Dazzlings now. I like their design aswell as their bickering between themselves. Adagio Dazzle: The Leader and most serious one. Aria Blaze: The pessimistic and egotistical one. Sonata Dusk: The kinda Pinkie wannabe but more aloof one. These Movies were first shown in theater and later aired on Discovery Family Channel. The princesses Legs are still way too long -.- and their design is still like, "meh..."... The followup song "Better Than Ever" is such a nice upbeat and fun bop, which shows their pony-up forms... yeah twilight is missing, but that is ok :) The question about why magic is coming into this world is a much controversial topic, but i think there is an easy explanation: The crown, the magic element of harmony got into this world without magic and gave part of its power to the 6 friends here while they were in contact with it. Also, we all know that "Friendship is Magic", so i assume that it can affect everyone they share their friendship with. Also it seems to be evolving on its own, maybe even knowing what they're up against next... but i wont go too much into detail here, since the premiere of S5 is right around the corner and will be interesting in that regard 😉 The Dazzlings' cafeteria song, "Battle," is one of my favorites. It's distinctly different from the other songs so far and has a unique vibe. I understand why you didn't find it as impressive - it's true that it wasn't as impactful as it could have been and lacked some bass, among other things. However, that's kind of the point; they channel their animosity through their voices, which is where their focus lies. And here we have some exciting worldbuilding! The Sirens are sea-pony creatures that Starswirl the Bearded banished to the human world. A lingering mystery is why they only reappeared now, despite being banished over a 1000 years ago. One theory suggests Starswirl not only sent them to another world but also propelled them forward in time. This would align with his reputation for creating a time-travel spell. Alternatively, the Sirens might simply have incredibly long lifespans..? The way Twilight was able to open the portal was very interesting and the contraption was cool. It even weaved magic 🤩 As assistant Spike is second to none - he just has some issues in between sometimes... 😅 The first confrontation between the Mane 6 and the Dazzlings was a very cringeworthy moment... it was also the jump-pad for the Dazzlings to turn them all against the main 6. The moment when Twilight got to be the newest member of the band and Sunset got very disheartened about why she was never asked, ...did she ever ask them herself? Maybe the others thought she just wasn't interested... The tensions between them seems to grow, especially about the question whose band it is. I don't think its about the song that is played and more about the feelings behind it. I love how Sunset and Twilight vibe together, especially during the night where they talked about expectations. The appearance of Pinkies Sister Maud was very unexpected - she even has boulder as a pet with her and is feeding it... crackers? 😅 The "Bad Counter Spell" is clearly a sign that Twilight is unable to do this on her own... And you are right, the CMC-Song was way better than this 😆 As assuring as Spike is here the whole time... its raising the stakes much higher than it should be... which put's even more pressure on Twilight... And the Dazzlings are sure they can break the mane 6, to get their equestrian magic. Snips and Snails' bad freestyle rap was genuine freestyling courtesy of Lee Tockar and Richard Ian Cox... and was bad as it was supposed to be 😆 Yeah i also prefer Pinkies Rap over this 😂 The next song "Shake Your Tail" which was shown as full uninterrupted song in one of the shorts, is a great song. But it was utterly destroyed by the competitors here. Raritys Outfit was also great... and it would have worked if the competitors didn't try to ruin that. And i must say... these magnets are way to strong... 😏 This also gets to the point where the Rainbooms begin to let little things anger them and even bicker much more than usual in a bad way... Rainbow Dash: "Got it! Be cool enough to win, but not so cool that we end up showing off the whole ears and tails and rainbows thing. Sooo... about twenty percent less cool." 20% meme strikes again! (S1E14 "Suited For Success"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PvDPOT3_Y0 Derpy's Music is PEAK! So lovely.., so sentimental... 😭🥰😉 You know they are all doing this because they're all manipulated and hypnotized? So, even if Flash Sentry wasn't liked as much, he isn't much fully at fault here for hurting Twilights feelings. Still, i can understand why you can't forgive him. The Dazzlings call even Sunset out, knowing everything that happened prior and try to spread hate amongst them. "Under Our Spell" is another banger, they have now more magic than before at disposal and are able to perform even better. It also is a good way to show the ladder-battles through a montage until the semi-finales. Rainbow Dash is just too full of herself sometimes (especially in EQG...) and thats what Trixie is going to manipulate and incite Rainbow to go all out in "Awesome As I Wanna Be" which is kinda like her anthem in a way... - But as good as this song is, it had to fail. But they're right, Sunset should have considered another measures to stop it... As to how the "Rainbooms" were still chosen for the finals - the dazzlings were hypnotizing the princesses again (in the background) to do exactly that, just to incite Trixie to stop them and get them to turn on each other... - i wonder how you missed that - or did you? 😅 "Tricks Up My Sleeve" its not bad but its kinda very repetitive... but has a nice stage performance, suited for someone like Trixie. And there is the last shove into their demise resulting in a huge dispute among the Mane 6: - Rainbow: pushing herself to the foreground and thinking it's her band - AJ: nitpicking on everything especially on Rarity. - Rarity: tries to focus too much on her fashion. - Fluttershy: Wants that one of her songs is being played. - Pinkie: doing too much distracting stuff during the performance. - Twilight: hating herself for being unable to finish the counterspell and letting everyone down - Sunset: unhappy, that she was never invited to play in the band and unsecure because she is new to this friendship thing, but she was finally able to speaks up and gets everyone to acknowledge their faults and make amends... And now we come to the song "Welcome to the Show" by the Dazzlings... which is a gorgeous song, which is finally outperformed by he "Rainbooms Battle"-Song! This Song-Battle is one of the most excited things i ever watched in the MLP-universe. It got better and better in an attempt to overtake each other towards the climax, where Sunset had to step in and took the Dazzlings apart like they were nothing... - This destroyed their precious amulets, which were giving them their singing power. The end-credit song "Shine Like Rainbows" was another great song and had some nice concept-arts for us: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/6/6e/Mane_7_artwork_in_the_credits_EG2.png But the post-credit scene was just incredible - it was much speculated, because Pinkie mentioned her before and now we finally have confirmation that there seems to exist another Twilight in this world. She also seems to be very Scientific, thus she was called "Sci-Twi" by the fandom to differentiate between both. So many beautiful and well executed parts that it’s hard to break it down Oh wow this in theaters? What an atmosphere that would’ve been Beautiful last fight! And yes that ending! I always see if there’s post credit scenes in films but I loved that pinkie pie nod from the end of the first movie. Where this will go? WHO KNOWS. But I’m excited. Sunset shimmer is amazing and the siren were spunky and perfect villains with that nice banishment history. Man so good!!!!

I’ve seen this movie a bunch and I never get tired of it! that last fight gives me chills it’s beautifully done, also end credits scene! some people missed it I’m glad you let it play through that twilight looks a little different! Lol can’t wait for you too see what’s to come and yes this was in theaters! could you imagine seeing it on the big screen ? great reaction as always I’m happy you loved it!
