An amazing and metaphorical episode that had one of the best episode endings. But also frustrating with the friends not having twilight in mind 😭. That angered me. That’s your best friend 😡 But the message of new beginnings and cherishing the time and memories is quite beautiful and minimal. Excellent stuff!!

Her friends notice her discomfort and attempt to decorate the castle to make it feel more like home, but their initial efforts do not succeed. Ultimately, they decide to incorporate the roots of the Golden Oak Library into the castle’s chandelier, preserving Twilight's memories and creating a more personal and comforting space. - Some notes/thoughts/facts: - Your introduction was convincingly menacing... with a little bit more power in your voice you could be considered being a villain somewhere. I don't know if it was noticeable for you, but the animations made another improvement. Fluttershy is trying to get Twilight out, but well she is sometimes just too kind... and it's somehow funny to see Angel being angry about that fact and shutting her out 😅 And no... Twilight neither took a shower nor did she clean up before doing the pancakes... Rarity: "She spent an entire afternoon rearranging a single gem drawer at the boutique. An entire afternoon!" - It says much if even Rarity is the one saying that 😅 Twilight: "I'm Pancake!" 🤣 - it had some meme-potential in earlier days, but it didn't quite took off as much. And Twilight doesn't feel at home with this Castle... - no wonder: her old home just suddenly got destroyed and out of nowhere this castle came out of the ground and is her new home... I can't think of any person who wouldn't have trouble with it. At least she has her friends, who can help her and even offer her toredecorate it to make it feel like home to her. And here we go: the decoration montage begins with a nice song just called "Make This Castle A Home" which is another earworm and bop. - there are great remixes of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz9rlQ2KbnY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlFkeTN8sek But sadly her friends are doing it wrong, i don't know how they even came to this idea? Seriously... i am not sure which idea was the most awful - Rarity's should have been the most sane one albeit over-the-top, while Pinkie was - well just Pinkie - but AJ with her farmstuff and hay, aswell as Fluttershy with her animals were just ridiculous 🤣 - And don't ask me about Rainbows idea... this was just... oof... talk about having an ego... 😑 - At least she recognizes it herself later 😀 I dunno why, but this picture... https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/a/ab/Rainbow_Dash_points_at_the_Mane_Six_portrait_S5E3.png ...would have been a keeper (in another place of the castle) if spike would have been better integrated (as example, as Twilight's right hand dragon - and she wouldn't wear her crown and shoes here) 😅 At least they found a better way after Spike was telling them about how awful their idea was. The "Extra-strength-hot-stone-deep-tissue massage" sound very hurtful... and even looks worse 😅 - Even worse... it was Bulk-Biceps doing it 😋 The operating-cost must be astronomical if he is destroying the walls all the time. 😂 The moment where Twilight and Spike stood before the tree was a sad reminder of what happened and what memories they made here - even spike is feeling the same way. - This is btw. the first time the true name of the "Golden Oak Library" was mentioned here, previously it was called by other names in a wide variety of materials. NOOOO Not the "Daring Do" Poster! - That would have been one of the fewer things that wasn't so bad! Pinkies ridiculous but hilarious breakdowns sometimes are on another level... but most of the times still on-point real! (and sometimes even kinda deus-ex machina plotwise) 😅 The reprise of the previous song is lyric-wise so much better: [Applejack] "It's not the things that ya gather 'round" [Fluttershy] "It's not how much you own" [Rarity] "The things that hold the meaning in your life Are the memories you've sown" I absolutely loved this message! - The tree-roots and all the memory-stones are such a great addition to the throne-room i also had some tears in my eyes. They all still added some of their own touch at other suitable parts of the castle, which also was a great addition and a great ending to this topic and episode. 🥰 --- This concludes this poignant episode "Castle Sweet Castle" that delves into themes of change, memory, and the essence of home. Through the symbolic transformation of the castle, the show reinforces the idea that personal and sentimental touches are essential in creating a sense of belonging. Overall, "Castle Sweet Castle", was as you said a beautiful reminder of the importance of support and understanding among friends, even when their efforts do not go as planned. It still illustrated how loved ones can help make new experiences more bearable and also highlighted the challenges of adapting to new circumstances and the value of cherished memories. Still, after Season 4 not everyone was stoked about the fact, that the "Golden Oak Library" was destroyed and replaced by this "abomination" of a castle... - it was one of the things often seen as the greedy clutches of the executives to sell new Toys connected to it. - Many fans thought it was just dreadful and it didn't even fit into Ponyville. I personally think the castle is okay-ish there, but i still preferred the old Library because it was kinda cozy and had its unique character that screamed "This is Twilight's home" all around. It was sad and it took me a while to fully accept the castle as Twilights new home. Thats why this episode was needed: It was a goodbye for the fandom, who grew 4 seasons alongside the old "Golden Oak Library" and a reminder, that even if you may not like the castle now, you may like it later for all the new made memories and experiences with it while you can still cherish the old memories alongside it. - It also kinda signified a change into another era for our Mane 6. - I do hope that you are excited for that. ☺ Anyways, thanks for another great reaction 💙
