Greg lying was awfully regardless of his intentions. I get he wanted to spend time but it caused Steven to second guess his powers which he was already feeling not the best about. Ahhh yes you’re right! Good catch. Lmfoa yes 😂😂😂. Savage Hm I see. Maybe I’ll piece it together because I’d love an explanation from the show

2024-07-21 03:11:30 +0000 UTCThis is probably the worst light the show paints Greg in (other than in SU:Future sorta, but that’s a whole can of worms we can’t get into yet lol) and a lot of people are a bit put off by it, but I really can’t blame him - everyone kinda went through something traumatic with Lapis (I mean she literally almost drowned and killed all of them lol) so it makes sense that as a response Greg would be acting slightly irrationally towards Steven & wanting to be with him. I think it’s really sweet that he loves Steven so much, even if it wasn’t expressed all that well on his part. Also love the character detail of Pearl being a gearhead, it’s good set-up for the next episode with the space ship. “Now Greg, there’s no need to be so pathetic.” Always makes me laugh out loud lol. As for why Steven lives with the gems and not Greg, it’s not really fully explained in the show (except for the extended version of the S2 opening a bit), but it’s implied Steven moved in with the gems at around 12 or so years old so that he could learn more about his gem side, after living with Greg in the van for most of his adolescence. This isn’t among my favorite of episodes but I still enjoy it!
