I just can’t suppress my feelings. I always liked her but this film unlocked her and made me simp 😂. The voice, empathy, hair, design, her learning, and her growth. Just all so incredible. Yes such great outfits! And I meant if there were 3 characters to embody me then it would be those 3. Timber is okay. I still team flash but the news from sunset was so soul crushing. I feel bad for him 😔😔😔 Loved how sunset was towards twilight and I get midnight version of her scaring her. Geodes are the elements of harmony which is such a cool twist and soft reset if you will. And there are multiple links between worlds which is interesting! The dock 😭😭 You know I’ve wanted romance so it seems EQG might be my thing 😂 Yes I agree with a lot of your saying. The new setting is awesome as they tap into the school and romance. And the new geodes expands this universe and potentially even sneak into the main series? 🤔 Yup I would agree with your rankings. Think I have the ratings at 9.5, 8, 7. And the first film is such an anomaly because it’s on a spectrum of being brilliant but also mediocre. Think the sure shock factor might have me put it over Everfree but I’m not dying on that hill.

EQG: Legend of Everfree - Some notes/thoughts/facts: - The movie starts with Sci-Twi, and it seems some time has passed since the Friendship Games. "I might feel things for Sunset" - Aha, didn't expect to hear that from you 😏. Midnight Sparkle is Sci-Twi's alter ego, which she transformed into in the previous movie. It was quite a traumatic event for her, and she fears that Midnight Sparkle might take over again. Sci-Twi hides these feelings from everyone except Sunset Shimmer, who promises not to tell anyone. The age of their pony versions is somewhere between 20-23 years, while their human age is likely around 16-18. How the transformation from pony to human works age-wise remains a mystery. "Admiring her character design..." Yeah, right 🤣. You're simping way too much 😉😁, but I get it, she's kinda hot. We've all been there 😅. This time, we're not at the school but at the Everfree Forest, which is a refreshing change. Most voice actors had multiple roles in the show and in EQG: - Andrea Libman voices Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy (and also sings for Fluttershy). - Ashleigh Ball voices and sings for Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Lyra Heartstrings. - Tara Strong voices Twilight Sparkle/Sci-Twi, but Rebecca Shoichet is her singing voice and also voices and sings for Sunset Shimmer. - Tabitha St. Germain voices Rarity, Luna, Granny Smith, Mrs. Cup Cake, and more. Kazumi Evans sings for Rarity and Luna and voices Moon Dancer. Their outfits have definitely changed in this movie, and they look better than ever. Even the principals, Celestia and Luna, look much better here. Luna, Fluttershy, and Sunset hybrid as your identity, huh? Wonder how that may look like... Of course, Rarity wants the Fashion Show... The bit with the sundial was a funny reference to the show's quarrel between Celestia and Luna over the day and night cycle. Timber Spruce appears as a new love interest for Sci-Twi. He's supposed to be suspicious until the end... And suddenly, magic happens, triggering Sci-Twi's fears again. "People that chipper make me nervous..." Sunset saying that about Gloriosa right before meeting Pinkie is just hilarious. Fluttershy is in her element, surrounded by nature and animals, which makes her very happy. Timber Spruce: "Whoa! I know I'm charming, but you don't have to fall for me." He's such a sweet talker... and still suspicious... And here we are, building the dock for the first time... A nice idea and good execution if i may add... would be a shame if something happened to it... 😏 There's some tension between Gloriosa and Timber about the camp's future, which in hindsight was kind of obvious. Timber Spruce: "You think that's crafty? You should see my macaroni art. I'm like the Picasso of noodles." - This double reference 😅. Gaia Everfree is introduced... through a spooky Campfire... still suspicious 😅 "I got this!" - You know shit is about to get down... and it always annoys me when she says that... Again, the magic levitates everything around Sci-Twi... "Don't suppress it, Twilight. That might be why you're still struggling with it." - Wow, your intuition is good, Ed 😅. The new dock is destroyed... the first time... 😏 "The Midnight in Me" is such a beautiful but sad ballad. -> This GeekBrony Remix is an interesting take on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPsnCs6BMLg Timber Spruce remains damn suspicious... not so smooth now... Now everyone is affected by the magic fluctuations: - Fluttershy talks with animals - Rarity produces crystal constructs - Sci-Twi levitates stuff - Applejack gains enormous strength - Rainbow Dash becomes even faster - Sunset can read thoughts and minds - Pinkie Pie creates glitter-bombs It's funny how every time Gaia Everfree is mentioned, Gloriosa shows up and frightens everyone... nice foreshadowing. The lanterns touched! We all know they're going to be a pair, now... but Timber is still suspicious... Twilight is in absolute fear and wants to leave the camp to avoid influencing her friends, but Sunset finally realizes her empath magic and talks Sci-Twi out of it. She knows exactly how Sci-Twi feels because she went through something similar before and is now able to embrace it. Timber still seems definitely being to be hiding something... but it was something else then predicted, he was covering for Gloriosa... The rest of the group finally faces their magic problems, and they build the dock for the second time together with their newfound magic, accompanied by the song "Embrace the Magic" a great solo by Sunset Shimmer, a kind of an anti-thesis song to "The Midnight in Me" from Sci-Twi. - She truly has a nice voice. Also we get a glimpse of Pinkie's inner thinking-world... which was quite interesting... And finally, the pace picks up, we finally learn what's going on: Gloriosa found these geodes and thought she could control them but fell under their influence and is wreaking havoc at the camp to prevent it from being taken over by taking it over and trapping people in it... The dock is destroyed for the third time... 😅 - Now its getting ridiculous... "We Will Stand for Everfree" is a nice villain song, albeit not as good as "This Day Aria" was from Chrysalis. the mane six try to stop Gloriosa with their newfound strength - I like your allegory about them facing adversities to get stronger - its an interesting theory. Except for Sci-Twi who struggles with her fears and has to finally face her fears by confronting Midnight Sparkle. Her friends provide help to get through. And they finally get their geodes back and transform into the Power Rang... wait er... Sailor-Moon... no thats not it... wrong movie... - They Pony Up in a new way... https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/equestriagirls/images/b/b6/Equestria_Girls_in_their_Crystal_Guardian_forms_EG4.png to kick Gloriosa's ass 😅 The geodes transformed into necklaces like the element of harmony did, but they look much nicer. And it's the third time they build the dock... - since its close to the end, it should prevail now, right? - ... right? And finally, a "we got this" I can get behind by the Mane 7, who start a fundraiser to save the camp. "Legend You Were Meant to Be" is a great song. I think it's the first one by the Rainbooms together in this movie - the vibe of it is so good. Anyway, here are some remixes of it: Sylvver Remix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHSOb-L2oAA Rarity Vrymer Collective Dubstep Remix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6zjFkNGjm8 Gloriosa Daisy: "Thank you. For everything. Oh, if I'd just asked for help in the first place..." Rainbow Dash: "Hey, don't sweat it, it's kinda what we do." - they admit it, they're official heroes now! It's the first time a love interest asks for a date and holds hands... they were even close to kissing each other. Well at least it was a on the hand. Sunset Shimmer: "About that. I think the crystals are the source of the superpowers." Fluttershy: "You're not gonna ask us to give them up, are you?" Sunset Shimmer: "No. In fact, I think maybe we were meant to have them all along." Twilight Sparkle: "Me, too." The Equestria Girls: [agreement] - So, these are the new elements of harmony? Sunset Shimmer: "There is one thing I'm still wondering about, though." Twilight Sparkle: "What's that?" Sunset Shimmer: "Where did the magic that hit this cave come from?" - So there is a leak at the CHS Statue... but I don't think it's just that. When Sunset got blasted with the rainbow in the first movie, there were some colored magic streaks flying away. https://youtu.be/W0QXV3kjiyc?t=326 Maybe these geodes also come from that. As for the leak, I have another theory, but I won't spoil it for you because it will give away things from the specials that will come after this. The end-credit song "Hope Shines Eternal" is another great piece of music. After the credit scene... the new dock is destroyed again! - Damn you Film-TROPES! 😡 Also the bloopers were very funny again! --- This concludes "EQG: Legend of Everfree" which in my mind presents a mixed experience: The pacing at the beginning is a bit challenging and the storyline feels somewhat repetitive as it marks the third instance of a character being overwhelmed by magic. However, the film boasts improved animation quality and a refreshing change of setting, as it is not confined to the usual school environment. The new location brings with it a fresh setup and emotions and adds depth to the story. Additionally, the movie explains the persistence and evolution of magic in this world, drawing parallels to the elements of harmony, which enriches human world lore. The character development shines in this installment, particularly for Sci-Twi and Gloriosa, whose arcs are compelling and well-executed. Unlike its predecessors, the climax does not feel rushed, maintaining a well-balanced pace from the middle onward. Overall, despite its early pacing issues and repetitive elements, "Legend of Everfree" succeeds in delivering a captivating and well-rounded narrative in my view. Overall it was a good movie with great music (it never fails to deliver in that regard) - I liked it very much. My ratings so far: 1. EQG: Rainbow Rocks (9.2/10) 2. EQG: Friendship Games (8.9/10) 3. EQG: Legend of Everfree (8.8/10) 4. EQG: Movie (6.5/10) --- Wow you were simping way to much this episode, thats rare 😅 Naw-way... i saw no bias towards sunset...🤣 - But Sci-Twi has a love interest now: Timber Spruce, who seems to have more character than Flash ever did. - Do you think they will date with each other? 😅 Anyway good reaction, thank you for reacting to this :)

I love this movie, it’s very epic, it was nice to see romance in this movie that wasn’t just flash and twilight, seeing sci twi and timber together was pretty nice, also I love sunset so I understand the feelings you have for her, also yes she’d be around the same age as pony twilight or even a little older like an adult, but with high school sometimes there’s students that are older than the rest so that could be why she’s still in school lol, anyways great stuff, it does get a little repetitive although the sirens fight was way different than these, it always reminds me of a sailor moon type thing with transformation’s which is really cool, some of it is repetitive but I honestly love the format, also we will stand for Everfree gave me chills I love villain songs, also the midnight in me song is one I listen to a lot it’s short but beautiful.

Pinkie_applepie

Just found that out. I’m so dumb. But wow! Super talented and wouldn’t have thought
