I get what Davion is saying, Jackson has formed his identity around being that number one athlete at the school. In the same way that Robby growing up without his parents really focusing on him caused him to have an issue with authority, the sudden rise in popularity of McCall has had a real impact on the way Jackson sees himself. While most of his behavior is not justified it is understandable. I think that is what Davion and Myles struggle to get Nathan to understand. The distinction between them understanding why Jackson acts the way he acts and also still not saying its okay that he acts that way.
