I get why Sam was upset that Dean never told him what his dad said. He's been freaking out this whole time about what he's gonna turn into. In the "Simon said" episode we saw how afraid Sam was of what yellow eyes plans were for him, and then come to find out that Dean has had some knowledge this whole time and didn't say anything. 🤨Even sometimes making Sam feel invalidated or wrong for feeling afraid of himself and all along Dean had this secret about Sam. It's definitely upsetting and I feel where Sam was coming from. However on Deans side, how was he supposed to tell Sam something like that? I mean thats awful, and it was awful for John to put that on Dean. Dean's sole purpose is to protect Sam, so this news must have definitely been weighing on him, and its not really the type of thing you can just drop on someone. Plus Dean doesn't know what's going on. John told him that but didn't elaborate at all so Dean's probably confused and scared himself. So I get why he kept it to himself. I get both sides, but Sam definitely was not in the wrong for getting upset. Also, although I am a Sam stan, in the words of Katherine from TVD, "it's okay to love them both." When I first started watching, Dean was my favorite so I get it, but now upon a thousand rewatches I see Sam differently and he's pretty much as well rounded as characters get. But being a Supernatural fan means at the end of the day I love them both. And if you pit them against each other in every episode, it takes away a little bit from the Winchester story. Not the Sam or Dean story, but them together. At least for now. But that's just my 2¢. Also as much as I love Sam, I'm with Davion on perspective. I actually don't hate Gordon. He thinks Sam is going to go bad and start working with demons in a war, so he wants Sam dead. It makes sense. He's a hunter, hunters kill bad things, Gordon thinks Sam will turn into a bad thing. And for better or worse Gordons not a "give em a chance" type of person. Remember just because a character is opposing our leads/protagonists doesn't mean they're bad characters or that you have to hate them. Not just Gordon, but anyone else 🤷🏾♀️.
