Ahh that’s funny 😂. I did remember the letters have to be sent by Tuesday but nice detail I’m concerned for pinkie 😂 The time loop was simple but incredible! Was unexpected and it was brilliant and hilarious. 🥁 . Yes for a children’s centered show still hit on some great points and exploration! I’m glad twilight soon learned about how planning too much and living in the moment is important. Much needed for her and many people (like me) This would fuck with my head since my future self would be influencing the past self. I’d be horrified of seeing my future self but also get a glimpse of what I’d be like.

2024-04-29 11:21:31 +0000 UTCTwilight is smart, studious and most times reasonable - her obsession about schedules, lists and so on is sometimes funny to watch, but paired together with being a worrywart and her compulsion to be in control of everything around her - it sometimes starts to get out of hand. And just when you think "Lesson Zero" starts all over again, another Twilight from future drops out of nowhere, looking like she came out of a full on dire predicament of warlike proportions, just to run out of time before she could warn her all too curious present-self about something. - thus the search for an unknown thread begins in which her controlling nature comes into full motion. She goes nearly beserk, has to disasterproof Equestria, monitor everything and - because time is unpredictable - tries to "stop time" as a last ditch measure (which is absolutely insane if you think about it). She starts a heist on the Starswirl the Bearded wing of the Canterlot Archives just to realize that this whole clusterfuck of worrying and to maintain control was pointless, because it happened - nothing. She learns an important lesson about worrying to much and that it´s impossible to control everything... just to find a time-spell to go back and try to tell herself this exact conclusion - where it goes full circle. But oh well... at least it´s past-Twilights problem now... Even though there was no disaster they still fixed a lot of problems around the town. Which is good right? It was a great and exciting episode with some worldbuilding and lore. - We got to know more about Starswirl the Bearded, a powerful Pony who must be pretty powerful and knowledgeable about Magic to be able to even create time-spells which still works in present day. And we get to know about a place called Tartarus which is protected by Cerberus to prevent dangerous creatures from escaping. - So there are dangerous enough creatures that have to be contained. (I wonder if Pinkie would be in there if she weren't friends with the Mane 6 and gone full Pinkamena (like in the "Party-of-One" episode) 😁) Some further thoughts: Holy shit Future Twilight just looks just awful... (It is a reference to Snake Plissken from "Escape from New York" btw.) Again, next Tuesday Morning? That sounds Familiar... if you remember back to "Lesson Zero", it was hinted that most written mails about learned lessons to Celestia and episodes were happening on Tuesdays. - That is a joke in itself due to the episodes airing on Tuesdays in 2012. ;) We are in a world of magic with beings like Discord in it... time-travel being impossible? I wouldn't dare to deny any impossible spell at this point... The whole scene where she is warning the residents is hilarious! "It no laughing matter"... proceeds to have these fake glasses with a >human< nose on it👀 Disasterproofing Equestria by taking care of Pinkie Pie? - Well that confirms it, Pinkie Pie is a walking calamity herself if left unchecked for too long :D And how many and what else emergency stashes does Pinkie have?! Wow - giving our characters Prefixes like Old or New Fluttershy, Future-Spike, past-Twilight etc are an interesting development as of late... BTW.: "...so I only had one other choice. To MONITOR EVERYTHING!" (These eyes :O) and "I'll just have to... STOP TIME!" are my most favourite sentences of Twilight, due to it's ridiculousness :D The idea of a time-traveling loop due to it's nature from either being in the same timeline, but you aren't able to change anything to: there are different timelines and each change/possibility creates a new timeline is just crazy to think about. If you think about it, there is a time-paradox: Twilight only knew about the Time-Spell in the archives due to her future self mentioning it to her... but what is the origin of that? That is truly a mind-boggling question... 🤯 Interestingly... it was Pinkie Pie who found that time-return spell... - is she the missing element to explain this whole paradox? 🤔 (Because it's a typical Pinkie Stunt and all...) - It´s about time... you reacted to this episode. - Nah, im joking ;) Nice that you liked this episode, i am a Sci-Fi Fan myself and it was interesting to watch an episode about time. This one particular had a simple plot without a complex story (this show is still aimed for kids with parents in mind) about Twilight, which was still refreshing to watch with a nice twist. The lesson was also a simple but impactful one for twilight, who always worried about everything (which i totally can relate to - not the best trait to have ^^'). Then again, how would you react if someone tells you, that he got a visit of himself from the future? - And how would you react if that happened to you? A great reaction as always, thank you!

2024-04-28 22:30:09 +0000 UTCAgree! I’m a sci fi freak but this was one of the best displays of it. And YES. She needs to learn this which I loved for her. Back to back amazing episodes! Think it’s the first two 9/10s episodes back to to back! (Not counting pilots)

2024-04-26 07:02:44 +0000 UTCThis episode is amazing it’s so much fun, it’s one of my favorites twilight meets future twilight and it’s a endless time loop, what an awesome twist I love how she starts looking like future twilight slowly through out the episode, I love time travel stuff as well it’s so interesting and cool, it is a very underrated episode the message was great something twilight really needs to learn.
