2023-12-23 23:41:11 +0000 UTCI don't know if you've seen the news yet but One Piece is already getting a remaster done by Studio Wit coming to Netflix and I'm unbelievably excited to see what they can do with these early arcs in modern high budget animation but something about the almost water color aesthetic of the backgrounds from the original will always feel special to me

And you are right the live action nailed it with how they handled the Nami asking for help scene. The whole cast and crew knew how important it was to the show and apparently Emily Rudd spent 6+hrs kneeling in the mud and the cold evening to stay "in that moment". Super well done.
