STEVEN UNIVERSE 2X14 "Historical Friction" Full Length Reaction

Here is my full length unedited reaction for Steven Universe! This only includes my reaction and thoughts. There is no intro. I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. But it always starts at 00:00:00. Must have your own copy to watch along with, since I can't offer that due to copyright laws. Streamer: Max

this was a really fun episode with really fun visual gags and also very fun call-backs. Mayor Dewey trying to make conversation with Pearl specifically is a callback to the fact that he thinks she's hot. i think it was in the episode "Ocean Gem" when he first said it. Jaime's performance as the Gems was pure gold, Mop Amethyst is best amethyst xddd. When he was performing as Garnet Jaime says the phrase "humans aren't very good swimmers" which is a callback to the phrase that Garnet said to him in the episode Love Letters "Im a very good swimmer". Yes, the mysterious fusion at the end could be the 4 of them fused together, or it could also just be Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl forming Alexandrite.... but taking into account that the Silhouette has that very recognizable Pompous and Curly hairstyle that Rose has... it is very likely that it is the 4 of them fused. Nanefua is a wild lady... she took the chance and just straight up went for the butt grab at Jaime xddd.

As someone who was a theater buff back in HS and college, I adore all the little touches of relatable theater kid stuff and messiness they gave to this performance, ahah. Like... Steven sweating when the curtain rose until he gave his first few lines, Jamie having to whisper remind him to hit his queue and kick the lever while both on stage, Jamie having to sleight of hand slam out some quick changes, him having to crawl off stage behind the facade, partially visible to the audience (been there), the fact that I can totally imagine him rushing back and forth from stage to backstage to do all the scene changes and special effects, lol... Like, yep. That's what's it like. One of the storyboarders absolutely had to have been a theater kid too. Delightful.
