Afro Luffy is definitely the biggest highlight of this Arc besides Zoro and Sanji finally working together. And the way they talk about him during the fight.... using terms like "Brotherly" and the like.... it's clear that Oda was just having Fun with this part of the story xddd. Also the scene of Foxy pretending to be one of the Pin Badges that he fired at Luffy is my Favorite Gag of this whole Arc, Gold Comedy right there xdddddddd.

2024-12-26 23:17:25 +0000 UTCYes Mikey, episodes 220 to 225 are all filler, and episode 226 is mostly filler too but it does have canon story right around minute 19 onward. Althought it is worth saying that.... what you're gonna see on the next few canon episodes... mainly the end of episode 226, 227 and 228 are all still technically part of the Long Ring Long Land Arc. I know it's confusing but the reason those episodes are still part of LRLL is because in the anime they had to make the StrawHat leave the island so that the filler stories could make sense, but in the manga what happens in those few canon episodes take place IN the Long Ring Long Land Island (shortly after Luffy defeats Foxy).

This Waluigi-looking ass beating the crap out of Luffy is a perfect example. Sadly, I think you missed this gag, but I also have to point out the announcer saying "But first, a word from our sponsors" then immediately cutting to what would be the commercials.
