How Does it Work?
Prepare for battle Miniature Makers!! Vote in a new poll each month to go to battle for your favorite theme option. For Patrons and Tribers only, this is your direct line into the Custom Miniature Maker workshop. We want to hear what you want! The theme that receives the most votes wins, and we'll announce the winner shortly after the poll closes.
What if My Choice Doesn't win?

Had I known about this Patreon before the poll, I too would have voted RATS for my verminkin

2024-07-22 16:06:39 +0000 UTCId agree, pieces of the Roman set would just work really well in other settings. The other two options have pretty singular uses, aside from tunnels being ubiquitous to every setting.

2024-07-10 21:12:42 +0000 UTCI like all options but skaventide is upon us. Those pesky ratties need a lot of bases asap, we need to prioritize.

2024-07-10 01:31:16 +0000 UTCYou really do seem to insist on making these polls a difficult choice …

2024-07-09 22:55:16 +0000 UTCIt was also super-close for 2nd/3rd alongside Goblin Market Bazaar (three votes separated the two), it narrowly lost its runoff by a 4% margin, then probably only distantly lost the next poll since the Fallout TV show had come out. I really feel like we should just skip August's poll and have Yokai Temple be the incumbent for September with everything it's had to go through.

2024-07-09 21:49:54 +0000 UTCSame bro, I need terrain for my Idoneth, oceanic theme is so underused.

2024-07-09 21:30:19 +0000 UTCThoroughly disappointed that Yokai temple isn't an option considering it lost it's vote by 1%. I honestly feel the only reason it lost that was because fallout was the flavour of the month and yet now it's not even an option? What a shame

2024-07-09 21:19:37 +0000 UTCYeah. I really feel like Yokai Temple is owed its time in the spotlight since it lost the May poll by less than 1% of the vote (Crypt of the Necromancer also got 37%). I'm not surprised to see Rats winning, though I am surprised that Golden City of the Thunder God wasn't a returning nominee alongside it. Did we ever get Reptilian Temple (December poll winner but Eldartree/Elven Enclave wound up being the January set) ? I really hope Midnight Carnival and Goblin Market Bazaar someday get releases, because both of those sound like super-unique setting ideas.

2024-07-09 20:16:22 +0000 UTCI went with Rome, and have tried to promote it. There are lots of styles of roof that you can easily scratch build with card from cereal boxes. Clay Pantile tiles are one of the hardest things to scratchbuild to look right. It would be worth getting the Roman Set just for a Pantile Roof roller, apart from roofs for Roman Buildings, these would be good for Spain, Italy, and Spanish Colonies in US and even for colonial buildings for Pirate games!

2024-07-09 16:09:20 +0000 UTCI went with Rome. Villas and the other listed examples are more unique as printables than the other options. Here is my line of thinking this month: 1: Villas, structures, things that could be built from foam, but printing will save significant time. 2: tunnels are pretty generic. Scrap and rat waste are easy to make scatter with hundreds of variations already, even some stuff amongst CMMs older releases. 3. Rome already has a only few creators giving content, but not as many sources as the other two. Though I do know of two HUGE roman sets there are no rollers for the setting, and those sets do not have much terrain. 4. Because the options are already available and pretty common, my interest again lies mostly with the rollers that will be made available. Seafloor rollers would be cool but I just caved to making my own tiles by hand because no roller existed at the time, so it's beyond my needs now. And tunnel rollers would not interest as it's one of the first things that were made. Even if rat tracks were embedded in the dirt. Roman streets rollers already exist, basically, and I'm sure CMM knows that, so my imagination is running coming up with what rollers might be in the Roman set~ My gameboard is 300 feet x 280 feet, an inch being 5 feet. The rollers are the whole reason I subscribed to CMM, and it's the only way I've been able to cover so much game board. Without them I wouldn't be getting the compliments from my party of 7(Jesus I know) after every single game.

2024-07-09 14:32:36 +0000 UTCDamnit, I am super keen for Rome, especially as I'm backing Cohors Cthulhu! But also rats, rat-men, unstable haphazard and murderous ratmen...

2024-07-09 14:31:10 +0000 UTCI'm torn because I really love the Idoneth Deepkin (so Atlantis is a natural choice and was the one I went with), but at the same time, Atlantis is also a common theme among terrain makers. I would have loved to see your Golden City poll choice from a few months ago intertwined with your Rats choice from today (so people buying A Certain New Game Edition could see their army represented no matter which of the two box armies they sided with). So it's not JUST rats but you can see where it used to be pretty and ornate, and vice versa.
