I’m ngl Brandon explained the olly and Jon situation perfectly😭 Olly was young but was more than old enough to make his own decision regarding being apart of his death. Disagreeing with his choices and feeling like he was unfit to be lord commander is one thing(and also fair from his POV) but to feel that way AND be okay with partaking in killing him considering what Jon did and would’ve been willing to do for Olly is crazy

Empathy with no discernment will get you killed. It got Jon killed. Don't give too many chances because your enemies would never think twice about it.

2024-10-24 06:32:20 +0000 UTCThe fight with Ned was shocking because Ned is all about being honorable and stabbing someone in the back and then killing them is not. Then lied about it. But most importantly he judged and looked down on Jaime for doing the same thing to the mad king. So it just gives a little more complexity to the character, certainly in Bran's eyes. In the books, Jon tries to use the wildings as his own personal army to attack the Boltons and save his family. He breaks his oath and puts every man on the night's watch at risk. It makes so much more sense that they killed him for that than this. I wish they hadn't changed it because the wilding reasoning just makes them all look stupid.

Yes he had trauma but he made his decision and alliance clear when he gave Jon the final stab to the heart. With Ygrette I couldn't be at him for that because that was PERSONAL. But the rest of the Wildlings, (the moms, dads, kids and elders) didn't play a role in that. They were innocent. And Jon is always looking at the bigger picture and making choices for HUMANITY as a whole and its existence. Like Adison said- you had 3 options to keep it pushin even if you disagreed. But he took the 4th so ✌️

I fucks with the Reeds and the Starks, but dude deserved a more honorable death than THAT. And the fact that Ned went on to lie about it for years... And the day Jon killed Olly is the day I stopped being a Jon fan. He was dead wrong for that. Olly was a traumatized child who had OBVIOUSLY been brainwashed by Thorne. Jon was on some bullshit for that one.

But they did kill him and betrayed their Lord Commander, so Jon deserved to get his get back. If I was Jon, Ollie would have swung low. Them boys are considered men at 15 years old. He didn't trust the wildlings after what they did to his people and Jon befriending them and letting them in TO HIM was a bad idea. WE know that Jon is doing right, but in young Olly's eyes he was convinced that Jon wasn't doing right. Which should bring back to memory what Sam had said to him. "Sometimes a man has to make hard choices, choices that might look wrong to others, but you know are right in the long run". Now, don't get it twisted, Olly was wrong in what he did, HOWEVER, he THOUGHT he was doing the right thing just as Alliser Thorne did.

Also 100% Team Olli Get Got, he had a second chance at life, and really wasn't about to ever be a normal person after what happened to his village.
