After Gon says his dad is a hunter and that he wants to be like him he says: “But a few years ago I met a man named Kite. He knew my dad and told me lots about him.” (Flashback) Kite: “... the discovery of the Lurka civilization ruins, the establishment of a breeding program for the two-headed wolf, the excavation of the Congo Gold Vein, the annihilation of the Kute Gang of Thieves. Ging’s hunt is wide and limitless. Ging could be a triple star* hunter but he hasn’t bothered to apply for the classification.” Note: *Triple star- the highest class of hunter. There are less than ten in the world. Requirements include several achievements with global ramifications or historical discoveries of major importance.
