Subs are so sloppy, that's the prob with streaming. You don't get to choose the fansub group unless you go through other 'means'. When Cid said mithril 'pincet', the JP word for pincet refers to 'tweezers'

Some Shadow Garden members will eliminate bystanders or witnesses depending on the situation. Shadow/Cid prevented her from doing that by interrupting her, which is what 'allowed' her to keep him alive. She has detached herself from her previous life/identity after becoming a blob monster like Alpha and being saved by Cid.
