As a kitsune's power increases, so does their tail count. Everyone knows that part. What kitsunes don't like to let get around is the fact that, at the same time, their tails grow thicker and longer, and their butt grows bigger to support all the new tail. Kitsunes hide this fact with ample use of illusion magic, concealing their increasingly huge rump and tails with increasingly powerful magic. Also rarely known: 9's not a universal hard cap, and some 'unfortunate' kitsune hypers will find their backside expanding in tush and tailcount with each and every significant increase in power into the double or even triple digits- or just endlessly. Like our poor magical-prodigy protagonist is about to find out, for example!
