Patreon's New Sales Tax
Added 2020-05-28 22:59:16 +0000 UTCYou may have already gotten emails about this already, but I wanted to remind everyone to please be aware of the upcoming changes that Patreon is making to how you will be charged going forward. I believe this only affects patrons who live within the USA (as such settings have been active for others already), but I could be wrong. A lot of this stuff kinda flies over my head.
Either way, Patreon tells me the new taxes won't be implemented until July 1st, but it's never too early to plan ahead. If these prices are changing for you, please keep them in mind for your budget. Things are pretty tight right now with the pandemic, and I don't want anyone getting caught off-guard. In addition, if you need to change tiers or eliminate a pledge entirely for any reason, don't worry about me. I'd much rather you all take care of your financial situation first and foremost.
