Getting away from the prying eyes of the Commander wasn't always an easy task. Shepard's sharp senses would dog her at every turn, and each time she'd try to sneak off the ship her communication device would bleep with some request or other distraction - not enough to be on the nose, but enough to make the point come across.
She was being watched.
It wasn't until she agreed to have Ashley escort her to the mission location on Illium where she managed to sneak away into the neon-lit night. On the Commander's part, pairing her with the ship's most ardent xenophobe might have been as much of a joke as it was insurance.
But perhaps, he didn't know his crew quite as well as he thought, and the joke was on him.

Wednesday Wallpaper! I'm actually so happy with how this one turned out that I whipped up a few more variants, and I'm tempted to make a public, lower resolution version available on twitter :)
My apologies for the Monday Loop delay, still. I've had a series of murderous shifts owing to the pandemic's reach, and since my job is of the kind where I count as an "official" I can be ordered to work, owing to security reasons, at effectively any time if they truly need me. I hope to have it finished up until next Monday, and to have some more interesting tidbits to share this upcoming Friday etc :)
As always, thank you so much for your continued support, and for all of your patience and kind words! The months seem to go at an incredibly rapid pace when you're working and sleeping, but to be fair, 2020 has been something of a bummer year anyway so we might just want to look towards a brighter future instead :)
Take care of yourselves, as well as each other!
