Y'all ready for me to FANGIRL? These are the episodes for it (well, so are the next set, but still). Episode 9 has a lot more moments that I really enjoyed than I remembered, but Episode 10. Episode 10 is my JAM. I love it, so!
With the developing relationships, the flirting, the RINGS -- what even is "subtext" anymore? ^^ We're not subtle in this set, my friends!

Yay! Long comments can be fun! :D I definitely think Yuri’s theme is so simple and sweet; I like Emil’s a lot, too! That’s interesting about Mickey, too! I’ll need to re-watch and pay more attention to that OP! :) And YES – in the discussion when I went back through the episode, I kind of had the epiphany you did, that it was Michele that Emil was crushing on, not Sara! And yeah, Sara and Mila (I always call her Mira for some reason) would be a good couple! Ugggggh, the cheesiness of the airport is my jam and I love it! <3 And YES, episode 10 is so perfect! It’s wonderful! Getting Victor’s perspective is wonderful. We seriously need that movie NOW, please! Hahaha! And agreed: OtaYuri is canon in my book! As is Phichit being the ultimate Victuri shipper! And hahahahaha – JJ is just…JJ! :P Ahh, with the rings, though, I thought Yuri and Victor got the rings at the same time – Yuri bought both rings so that they each had a “good luck charm” (sure, Jan, hahaha) - but it’s still so adorable! And yessss, that slideshow at the end? I’ve watched it so many times and it’s always so perfect!! And YES!!! The bombshell of Victor being in love from the start makes everything up until this point make sooooo much more sense! Definitely a 10/10 for me, too! Thank you for the kind words and comment!!

Honestly when you hear some of these themes for the other skaters Yuri’s “Love” seems so ordinary by comparison lol. Mickey’s free skate was another personal favorite of mine from the music down to the skate itself and I always wondered why his performance seemed a bit cleaner than others but then I noticed some of his moves are ripped directly from the OP. I’ll be curious if you can identify which ones I’m talking about. Also is it just me that thought Emil actually had a crush on Michele and was just using Sara as an excuse to get close to him? He would also always be cheering him on before performances and things. Idk it could just be Emil being a good sport to his future brother in law. Still I doubt Sara is interested *coughs* clearly gay for Mila *coughs*. That airport scene at the end always has me bawling like omg it’s so extra and they accidentally animate Yuri pulling his mask down twice in the original but fuck it’s beautiful and I love it so much. Regular Casanova over here basically proposing to Yuri right then by saying he wishes he’d never retire. God favorite scene right after the actual proposal, cheesiness be damned! Okay Imma try to keep this next part brief: I love episode 10. I love this little break before the finale, I love seeing all the other skaters just interacting having fun. I love the threesome between Chris, Victor and Yuri. Love hearing an entire episode in Victor’s point of view, sometimes he makes mistakes as a coach but he can actually be very observant with Yuri I love how much he understands him. Also for being the Male Lead we don’t get to learn that much about him outside of skating, I’m so excited for the damn movie I need backstory! Anyway I love otayuri I will go down with that ship platonic or not. I love Phichit being the ultimate Victuri shipper. I love that everyone cannot stand JJ. (The straights are not allowed to sit with us tyvm) I love the proposal obviously cause cmon, and at some point Victor had to go back to the jewelry store to buy Yuri his own ring without him noticing that’s just- *chefs kiss* I love the slide show at the end of drunk Yuri. And lastly I just love that they decide to drop the bomb that Victor has been in love with Yuri this whole time, which explains all his actions up to this point. Incredible. Such a good episode 10/10
