Vinland Saga: Episode 11 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

**RELIGIOUSLY COMPARITIVE HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

The mystery with Canute deepens! This show makes you teeter back and forth with theories about "his highness," as Ragnar, Canute, and the Priest are lobbed around between Thorkell and Askeladd's groups.

Thorkell has revealed he knows Thorfinn's parents, Askeladd is revealing to us the audience that maybe he has a sliver of care for Thorfinn, and Canute is revealing that they did NOT take after King Sweyn in the looks department.

Vinland Saga: Episode 11 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

It's a shame this series isn't more popular; it's been SO GOOD! I'm really glad it won the poll and is getting a second season, but yes, I'm looking forward to being surprised by what all goes down in it! :) And YES, I'm pretty anti-violence, but seeing Thorkell just lug an axe around; there's something that's childish and chaotic and entertaining that I can't deny. And you're right, the tone definitely shifts with him in those scenes and how the violence is approached...interesting...as is the discussion of Christianity. I agree, you don't see it brought up in anime much at all outside of just symbolic references, so to see the characters discussing it in depth like they are here is refreshing and intriguing! But yeah, the Vikings treating Thor like Goku over here...hahaha! Thanks for the comment! I'm very excited for the next episode!

Not watching the trailer for s2 was a good decision. While Vinland saga as a whole has less focus on plot twist , mistery boxes like AoT . Its still good idea not to get spoiled . And the trailer is 5 min and shows a lot of content out of context , so yeah. And I remember you saying that s2 is gonna be made by mappa . While it is under that production house umbrella, majority of the key staff, director included are same people from s1. From what I understand its a lot more passion project than anything . Since S1 was quite unpopular due to a lot slower pace and not much action and mainly because people outside Japan could only watch via Amazon Prime streaming . Barely anyone knew about this anime , despite manga being quite popular and very well received among critics. As for the ep itself . I always say how this show does not glorify violence and has that anti war , anti violence commentary and while thats still true . Anytime we see Thorkell in action its just so cartoonishly satisfying , lol. The violence , the blood and guts . anything surrounding Thorkel the show changes its approach to tone and feel to an extent . And I dont think its bad , its just i noticed re watching this . Also theres something quite natural the way show brought up christianity and how vikings talk about it . At least in this episode context , just viking warriors comparing Jesus to Thors n such and their power levels lol felt right hahah. In general its quite rare for me to see anime that tackles christianity in any shape .

Awww, darn it, I left out the subtitles because of the formatting. Apologies for that! But yesssss, #nospoilersplease but Canute is such a mystery box! Thank you for the comment!

Haven't watched it fully yet but I have a strong feeling *looks at thumbnail* that you might have feelings on Canute's gender haha. Also, the subtitles aren't on the video but I can follow along fine without
