Banana Fish: Episode 19 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

NEW REACTION LINK: https://share.vidyard.com/watch/xCLB6Q5rr2tL8zfPymH5Pd?

Let's call this episode: "Ash, Eiji, and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad [Indiscriminate Period of Time]."

Ash spirals into madness and despair, Eiji makes bold decision, Dragon Moon makes some diva demands and alliances, and NONE of this looks promising for a happy fate for our protagonists...

...Uhm...Banana Fish, if you want to give me back some of those happy moments, I'll take them now, please! **nervous laugh**

Thanks for watching the reaction and for the support!

It was CHILLING. He's been bottling all of this emotion up this entire time and it finally comes to the surface! It was soooo heartbreaking to see him at his lowest possible point so far in this series...and damn....no...I didn't realize he had stressed himself to the point where he couldn't eat. T__T that is awful...this episode was hard, not going to lie!

Cool that you found the manga. I know the English Translation of the manga is by Viz. Viz offers digital and sources for paperback on their website. FYI did you know that VIZ own Sublime BL who publish the Given manga. I found Vol 1 & 4 Eng Translations at Barnes & Noble online. No Vol 2 & 3. BooksAMillion.com (link on the Viz site) seems to have Vol 1, 2, 3, 4 - about $2.00 per vol than B&N

Ash’s rant always gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. We’ve never seen him snap like that. Even when he was forced to kill Shorter, he still remained cool-headed to allow himself to escape the mansion. It’s such a sad sight to see his spirt broken to this extent. Also I’m not sure if you picked up on it but Ash wasn’t purposely refusing to eat; he just couldn’t. Living with Golzine has given him so much stress that Ash can no longer keep his food down. My Boi can’t catch a break!

I agree, it felt SO fast-paced! We're ramping up to the climax, so either it's that or like you said, there's manga moments we haven't seen. I was fortunate enough to find Volumes 5-19 in a set online-- I've actually ordered it (treat yo self) so hopefully it will be here by the time I finish the series. My plan is the week after Episode 24 airs on YouTube to do a live YouTube chat and react to Garden of Light and Private Option and chat with everyone about BF then! Maybe by then, I'll have the series and can comment if there were things left out of the manga! And yessss, poor Eiji causing conflict and I am FULLY convinced that Dragon Moon staged that entire ordeal to get Blanca on board with helping him and to lure Eiji in through Sing. **nervous laughter** I hate it! And yassss Uchida Yuuma out there playing all the great characters (I haven't seen Kono Oto Tomare, yet, but that's good to know!)! He was SOOOO good this episode with his voice acting...that range! I was so floored.

This episode felt rush, so much going on so I would also guess that they skipped some of the manga content. Will you react to the manga? Either way you should check out the "side stories" Angel eyes and Garden of light after your done. Yes Eiji continues to cause problems even though he is just trying to help. And my gut feeling said it was WAY TOO convenient for the assassin to try to kill Yut Lung right when Blanca showed up. It had to be planned and feel SO much like something Yut Lung would do. Creepy slimy snake that he is. Uchida Yuuma has proven he as has quite the range - Ash (banana fish), Uenoyama (Given), Fushiguro (Jujutsu Kaisen), Kyo Souma (Fruits Basket 2019), Chika Kudou (Kono Oto Tomare!) and many other anime's. I think that Banana Fish was his "break out" role that helped push him to more roles.
