SK8 The Infinity: Episode 4 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

But just like this show, there's a lot going on under the surface and I think I'm going to find myself deconstructing Adam and his personas...just a feeling. ^^
I loved this episode, though! Hiromi's antics as the florist, delving slowly into Adam's character and those surrounding him, Langa and Reki's friendship, and maaaannnn...my boy, Reki! I am feeling for you!

I am DEFINITELY going to talk about the aunts and control in episode 6 (I recorded episode 5 already for next week, but after talking with you all...I have thoughts. Many more thoughts.), but yesss, Adam is SO interesting! Poor Reki! The friendship with him and Langa is still so precious, especially with Langa rushing to his side...Adam...just...BACK OFF! hahaha! I'm sooo curious with the past of Adam/Cherry/and Joe...I can't wait to find out more. I have a feeling I'm going to be talking a lot about Adam this series...because there's so much mystery and intrigue with him! I love the pack that has formed between Shadow, Miya, Reki, and Langa! And thank you for all the information on A&W being region-specific in Japan! That is so cool to know and makes a lot of sense! :3 This episode was great...but I may love the next one even more...so yes, NEXT WEEK! :D :D

It's such a messed up flex how he smokes that cigarette while using it as a metaphor for making his race with Reki "taste better." And it's like not only does he fight dirty, he's ridiculously skilled! So he frustrates on both fronts. Definitely an intriguing character. And he wants to control S just how his aunts control him and his life outside of it. I am glad that Reki at least got to nail that move he had been practicing. And of course he remembers Langa's words echoing in his mind as the spark of inspiration to keep on competing, even when he knew he was out of his depth. About the A&W stuff: Apparently, A&W is very regionally specific, in that it is /only/ in Okinawa! Like, so much so that it's almost a trope where shows will use A&W to illustrate that they are in Okinawa. And they do serve poutine at A&Ws in Canada, at least. And yeah Shadow is surprisingly likable. I enjoy that they're already this little unit of Reki, Langa, Miya, and Shadow. Also, that is SUCH A GOOD POINT about the older pair/younger pair dynamic of Cherry and Joe with Reki and Langa. Now I can only hope it goes as far as Given did, haha. Either way, the fact that they knew each other in high school and presumably knew ADAM at that time has me intrigued. When did that guy become so damn creepy and weird? And why?? Just gonna have to wait and find out NEXT WEEK on... SK8 the Infinity!!!!

Ahh, I already have episode 5 recorded, but I'm going to have to talk about that in episode 6! The product placement was just delightful this episode! I forgot about that in Code Geass, hahahaha! XD And hmmmm...Can Joe and Cherry be equal parts Akihiko and Haruki each? I can see both in each of them...but definitely more Akihiko in Joe and more Haruki in Cherry. :3 And thank you so much!! I did not expect to be this engrossed in the characters of this show this early in...but I may be obsessed...and I predict these episode discussions might get longer and longer, hahaha!

The mention the Japanese National Diet (Parliament, Congress). His family is part of the social elite. The A&W product placement reminds be of Code Geass and Piazza Hut. Joe being Papa Joe, aka Akihiko of the show, which I guess makes Cherry, mama Cherry aka Haruki. Loving your deep dive in to the characters and seeing parallel that I missed that you see.
