[The Soapbox]: Yuri on Ice Anime Review!

However, I'm happy to talk about this show and gush about the characters, the relationships, the themes, etc. with you all! There's so much to LOVE about this show; it was "born to make history!" ^^

Oh thank you so much!! :) I absolutely love it and can't say how many times during quarantine I have played it! :) Yurio is just a delight -- he's probably one of my favorite parts of the English dub -- his VA's yelling is amazing! "I want food! And a bath!" Yessss, the same Japanese VA does Yurio, Ikuya, Tsukishima -- I guess Tsukishima is the middle ground of the spectrum on that! Ahhh, that's a REALLY good point! That definitely would make sense -- and then later that night is when Yuri gets drunk at the banquet, right? And THEN goes up to Victor and finally talks to him...among other things! Ooh, that is a neat theory with it, too. I like that! :) And yesss, while I'm all for a movie where we finally get to see Victor on the ice, I really need a season 2 with more Victorii and Yurio in it! And yesss, I think there's some that just don't like the English Voice Acting for Chris, but I'm fine with it! And YES, they are sooo the proud skating dads! :) HIs friendship with Victor is so wholesome! :3

His fiery personality and growth is just so amazing to watch. Plus, I find it hilarious that his VA is the same as Ikuya from Free bc they’re SO different….I had a question, you mentioned how Yuri didn’t take a photo with Victor bc he felt ashamed of his skating. I took it in a different way. When Victor sees him watching and asks for a photo, I always thought that he didn’t recognized him as a fellow skater and thought he was just a fan and that that’s why Yuri was ashamed bc he skated so poorly that Victor didn’t even recognized him…idk, what do you think?…as for Ice Adolescence, I am pretty convinced that most of it will be flashbacks from Victor’s career so I need a S2 with more Victorii and Yurio ASAP. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 And I can’t believe that there’s people that didn’t like Chris! I loved him and his relationship with Victor! They’re the chaotic dads of the skaters! ♥️♥️
