Moriarty the Patriot: Episode 13 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

LINK TO REACTION: https://streamable.com/ph8u4l

Oooh, this may be one of my favorite episodes yet! The color symbolism, callbacks to the start of the season, and all the twists you'd expect of this show! Irene Adler is "wooed to the dark side" by a quite-savage Albert, who shows just how persuasive he can be as the "Lord of Crime!"

The Scandal of the British Empire turns out to be exactly what our "Moriarty Boys" need, as Sherlock tries to figure out Irene's next move and is seemingly getting closer to figuring out the "Lord of Crime's" true identity...

hank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Moriarty the Patriot: Episode 13 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Yessss, of the Moriarty crew, Moran may be a womanizer, but Albert is where it's at! Those green eyes and that charm! *swoon* I'm so glad you're caught up! I really like where the story's headed at this point! :D

OMG Albert is soooooooo hot in this episode. Yep, I've caught up where you are at the moment, because I just can't resist the urge to binge lol. Albert might be my favorite character in this show so far. You're right. If it's Albert who lured me to join the Moriarty squad, I don't think I would have a chance to say no at all. I'll do whatever that pleases him hahaha.

Ooohhhh!! I didn't catch that! That's great! Yeah, poor Sherly hasn't learned all her tricks, yet! :P

I thought of another little detail I loved in this - after they trick Irene into showing them where the papers were hidden, as Sherlock is giving his own little dramatic revelation speech, he says, "... the king's request meant nothing. It stood to reason that he was a perpetrator that you had put up to this," so he still doesn't realize the "King" was her in disguise. Oh Sherlock, you are a VERY smart man, but you haven't figured out all of Irene's tricks just yet!

HAHAHA, SERIOUSLY -- Albert looks soooooo good in this episode! I'd be all, "Sign me up for your organized crime unit!" Hahaha, I like Albert a lot in this series, so maybe that's why it's one of my favorite episodes; plus, yes, mustache-twirling villainry embedded in that wine swirling! Hahahaha, your last exclamations there; wholeheartedly agree! ^^

Romaniablack

The animators in this episode: "Okay, Albert is basically seducing Irene in this one, so we need to draw him at MAXIMUM HOTNESS at all times, agreed?" I looooove this kind of trope-y scene, when the villain (or in this case protagonist) dramatically reveals their true identity and motivations. You swirl that wine, Albert! Turn your back to the spectacle happening below! Chew that scenery!

Ooohhh, thank you for not spoiling me! Interesting...but that is so cool how the Baron's death goes with the OP; I love that connection to the theme as well! And no joke! Albert is kicking it with all the wine this guy has; a glass of wine is supposed to be good for your health, so maybe he's just balancing against the arsenic? :P And that's a really good note about the roles each play in the "Moriarty" Crime Lord persona: William, the brain; Albert the face/reputation; Louis the muscle -- which is crazy to think he's the fighter, as he's so quiet, but I kind of love it, too! And that's such a good point about his reaction to Sherlock! Nice! Insanity; thanks for that insight!

This is definitely my favorite episode so far! :) Albert was a SAVAGE! I am definitely going to be curious to dive into the manga at the end of this series! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment!! Happy Holidays and week to you, too, and YES, we'll ignore the arsenic in Albert's clothes, and just be happy the reds and greens are festive. :)

Ahhhhh by far my favorite episode of the whole anime series solely because Albert was so devilish and amazing this epispde. I loved it so much especially because so much about him got erased in the anime. I think that girl albert was with was just someone he invited for the evening. It was also interesting to me in the beginning of the episode they were talking about past, present and future and the visualy show Louis' hand as representative of the future. I like this detail as it alludes to a conversation he had with william in the manga. Anyways this was a great video and I can not wait for the next episode. I wish you nice holidays and a good week :) P.S. I will choose to ignore that green soaked clothing in a historically accurate sense could kill albert.

I want to give so much more historical context, but I can't reveal what year this takes place in yet because it's a spoiler for certain things, so 2022 I will give more historical takes on this. The scene where the Baron dies parallels the first OP, with the dancers dancing around a corpse in masks. They are blind to what isn't directly in their veiw, and masks like that tend to cut off your periphery. Out of sight, out of mind. Albert likes his wine. I don't really remember a time he was drinking in this show and it wasn't wine, except when he's a kid. He might be dying from arsenic dye (might, because they sealed the dye better for clothes worn by nobles than they did for the common folk), but he's gonna go out with a glass a wine in hand. The Moriartys (Moriarties?) each seem to have an area that they do best in, when it comes to crime times. William in clearly the mastermind, the brains, the planner. He has the ideas, and can come up with ways to execute them. Albert is the face. He's the eldest Moriarty, the public one, on the Noahtic, Enders even mentioned that he knew the name Moriarty from the military. When they have to speak to someone difficult that they can't just kill to fix a problem a bad negotion could cause, they send in Albert. And Louis is the fighter of the three. It's less obvious, but when there's an actual fight, it's more often that, if a Moriarty is involved, Louis holding the blade. Even in episode one, we see him ready to cut a man, and we see that his instinct with Sherlock isn't to out smart him, isn't to out talk him, it's to attack him. They make one James Moriarty, and I'm just now realising that a fight scene between Louis and Sherlock would have been fun... All the Moriartys/ies are trained to kill though.
