And yesssss, I honestly LOVE that with this series and Natsume's Book of Friends, the mangaka includes translation notes for the manga - it's really helpful for explaining cultural references that otherwise I wouldn't have gotten without those notes. And yesss, the dead-pan song mentality -- I can only imagine writing those lyrics for these! As a person with two dogs at home, Sayuri-san's antics were so cute! Definitely makes me love Iketeru even more as a character! Thank you and YES -- these two volumes were fine, but I am REALLY head over heels for Volumes 7 and 8!

Iβm not interested in reading the manga, so these are really excellent for me β thank you very much! π₯° Always love the additional details of translation differences and approaches to jokes + all the layers upon layers of punnery across multiple languages. π The song-reads were hilarious, could just picture Uramichiβ dead-eyed stare. βLife is a cicada screamβ β such an excellent line. Loved all the Sayuri-san interactions, as well. Looking forward to next week! π
